I was looking for the same thing a couple of years ago.

Never found a mouse like that, and I settled for a Logitech gaming mouse.

this is the closest I found. it also has a "shift" key ability to double the possible combinations. or also their Tyon.

There's a good reason why you did not find such a mouse; ergonomics.

It is better to have additional buttons on the side where you can reach them with your thumb. That way you don't lose your touch on buttons 1 & 2 either, and can use them simultaneously with whatever you press with your thumb.

There is an even better reason to have additional buttons on the top, as opposed to the sides: gaming.

Buttons on the side will place lateral pressure on an input device which detects lateral movement. In other words, pressing a side button can impact your aim when you are trying to be precise. especially if you repeatedly press that button.

To the OP: I've also been looking for a mouse like that. No luck. I probably spend $500-$1,000 per year trying out various gaming mice. I hate them all.

EDIT - I should note that I don't want a mouse to look like the one in the OP, I just want more buttons on the top. I also want the mouse to be large. The GS300 would be okay except it's tiny. I doubt it would have been comfortable to use when I was 10 years old.

Yeah, for precise shooting, side buttons are a bad idea. I use the side buttons of my mouse for consumables and LRM's and for precision weapons I prefer to use mouse for aiming and keyboard for firing the weapons. It works wonders for ballistic stuff.

I used to work on fighter jet hotas and they have a bunch of buttons and switches

it would be nice to have gamers design a mouse

Have you looked at the Mad Catz MOUS/RAT series? I'm running a MOUS9, and love it.

looks like it has possibilities

I am using a Corsair
https://www.amazon.c...A/dp/B00N4OBEJA

I have a strange problem that appears every once in awhile
that is if I am holding down mouse button two then mouse button 3 does not work

not sure why but I am guessing it has to do with the serial nature of the mouse (USB)

one more thing hotas (or side stick controller) use a button guard on some buttons
this allows you to sort of rest your finger on the button without pushing it

this could really help out when buttons are very close together

Hmm...on the Roccat site, isn't the Tyon closer to what's being sought out?

I have tried a Corsair Sabre and a G600, but neither really fit this game the way I want them to.

I just had a minir aha moment:

The g600 has an additional button on the far right.

That gives you four across the front if you include the mouse wheel.

Have yet to actually try it though.
