Myself and 3 of my friends have had our own little unit going for some time now. Mostly just playing quick play and occasionally hopping into Faction Play to support the IS during FP events. We've recently made the decision to strike out from our own little unit to join a larger, more organized unit for Faction Play. We're not overly serious or anything and having fun is always the priority for us, but we're also quite sick of running in pugs.
I've been playing MWO since beta, while my friends are a bit newer to the game.

I dont actually know too much about the federated suns, but maybe take a look into Templars? I think they are davion loyaltists?

Give C4 a look for a casual fun group who are moderately active in FP. Our FP dedicated members can almost always fit into a drop with HHOD, a more serious (in many ways) Davion unit that we share a teamspeak server with.

HHoD is the largest of the Davion units. RRB, C4, etc. are all good units. I think HHoD is the only one that fields full FW teams every night. I would suggest dropping with each unit and figure out which one suits you best. House Davion TS is ts50.bargainvoice.com:7345

I was going to suggest HHoD, but I am unsure they are currently in davion, which is why i asked if the OP wanted house davion only...
