Not going to ask why....LOL.

Many many years ago I got online for the first time and went to the MSN Chess site. I needed an ID and I went through a lot of them trying to find one not taken. I remembered that one meaning of my name, Michael is Like Unto God which means more like "given to god".

LikeUntoGod worked and I'm used it everywhere since. You used to be able to google me, lol. In Madden etc also I am LikeUntoBuddha.

In EverCrack (Everquest) I ran 5 accounts and I had to come up with a lot of names. I have a couple of rules. I make them easy to pronounce and easy to spell for others. I so wish others would do this.

Example: My Ranger was "Longbow", a Cleric was "Hardheal" etc etc.

And the short version of LikeUntoGod is LUG. I used to play a lot of sports and like in basketball you do not often have the time to say the whole nickname (which at the time was Hollywood) so people would call me "Wood' during games.

My name is the name of a ship in an adventure I was working on for Mechwarrior, before my (potential) player base all moved away.

Seemed appropriate.

Simple, my name was made because I recently discovered that you could fit a long tom artilery piece onto a dragon so tada, my name was born!

Yeah, you can do it - it's a 30-ton, 5-slot weapon, but you've got 4.5 tons left for extra ammo and/or armor with a 250 standard at 3025 tech level. If you upgrade to 3055, you can have 13.5 tons left over for a bigger engine or whatever else. The Long Tom will not fit with the stock engine, but it's well within the possibilities of customization.

Its a 30 ton 30 crit slot weapon... In table top you can go from arm to side torso.... Thats how they fit Thumpers onto a mech...

But longtoms cannot go on a mech because 30 crit slots is too much space for arm-to-sidetorso

Hrm. My manual has a misprint, so I misread the stats. You wouldn't want a Long Tom for a 'mech anyway, but I suppose it's the thought that counts.

This.
A lot of folks also think it is possible thanks to MW4.

On a related note, I would love it if MWO followed TT construction rules and allowed larger weapon systems (ie AC20, Gauss etc etc) to be split between adjacent locations on a mech.

The first MMO I ever played was Starsiege: Tribes. A bunch of guys I worked with were playing, and dragged me into it. I had to come up with a name, and came up with "Organdonor", as I was pretty sure I was going to be nothing but cannon fodder anyway, and as an ex street bike racer, we always referred to ourselves as "organdonors" anyway, so...

I haven't played many online games since, and always used "Organdonor" when it's available. For some reason when I tried in MWO, it wouldn't take it, so I put the "Old" in front of it.

'Snaga' means small/runty Orc in Tolkien's Orkish language (irl it apparantly also means 'strong' in several Slavic language, learned that through MWO)

Back before the glorious LOTR movies there have been other attempts to film the epic. One of them being some kind of weird rotoscope or something animation technique one that was so incredibly awful that it never went beyong the first part (and that one ended on the footsteps of Moria iirc). The animated orcs had this weird repetitive hunched over walking animation, which me and my brothers called Orc dancing.

So basically I'm a dancing Orc. Posted Image
