And if by some reason it does happen with extreme negative effects afterwards, Russ will blame the playerbase for wanting it. (i.e. seperated FP queues when that happened)

give us a scope of what they are capable of coding. It's a big red flag when somebody starts to call other people inept. Not saying you did, but you know.......MWO forums

If new weapons are coming, I almost expect a weapon or two magically breaking in the process.

To be fair, PGI has coded zero new weapons since the Clan Pack was released.
This is like 2-3 years since Clans were released.

Sounds like something I'd write (the post, not the code lol).

Ahem...they obviously can't code switchable LB ammo for one.

Yeah, only now. Earlier on I was musing about how PGI had flat out lied to the playerbase for months about the imminent implementation of FW back in 2012, while waiting for license renewal, and then it hit me. PGI might have lost the capability to code in new weapons and is keeping that from us. Crazy thought I know, but fool me once...

It's ll a matter of "want", they obviously don't want it or don't have the resources.
Because it's really not that big of a problem to hire someone or outsource the job. Heck, I'd be willing to bet that at least one guy in the MWO playerbase is capable of this job
I have never seen another game where it was such a huge problem to add something like a new gun to the game...

They obviously dont WANT to add new weapons.
Even if they don't currently possess the resources, they could easily fund the person for the job by announcing a mechpack with said new weapons, most of the playerbase would buy it.
The next mech pack announced will be for February, that's waaaaay more than enough time to find a person and have him develop it

Yep. Not to mention that it is taking PGI far more than a year to make MG and LBX viable weapons--something that the playerbase have been asking PGI from very early on. They can't even balance existing underpowered weapons (by literally editing a single value in the XML sheet), never mind adding new ones.
