Like I said, the data should decide, the numbers of which none of us have for the average player. Experienced players will always pull outlier numbers, it does not reflect the gameplay of everyone else. Like I said, this is an epeen thread. You use numbers which are favorable to your argument and yet disregard the damage scores of other KDK in the same screenshot. And if there are many KDK players out there with below average or average of 400 damage i.e. Mr Averages, does it mean we will need to buff the KDK?

Btw, the highest WLR of a light pilot in season 2 was 50. Please nerf light mechs. Obviously imbalanced as compared to assaults with highest WLR of 18. Literally this shows light mechs are OP, being able to turn the tide of a match by themselves.

First of all, let me go ahead and state that the KDK-3 is OP, and everyone right in his mind gets that. But...

I'd predict your w/l to have dropped quite a bit once you reach like 500 matches played in solo queue, dragging your other stats along with it a bit. But that doesn't matter here and it isn't meant to criticise your stats or anything like that (it's a baseless guess after all, might be totally wrong here).

The point is, people have made up their mind on the KDK-3. The mech is out there for months, and available for Cbills quite some time now. People either think it's OP or they think it's fine. We already had one gazillion threads on it. This thread is number one gazillion and one. And it adds nothing to the discussion but a 55 matches samplesize, which really is... nothing. People weren't convinced by larger samplesizes with even better stats shown, they won't change their mind based on this thread.

Fair point, but Marauder-3R was nerfed quite a bit since release. And I want the same thing to happen to the KDK-3.

i hate lucky players like you. PGI needs to nerf luck. if the system detects that you are on lucky streak, random steel ladders should drop on your mech and cause massive bad luck damages. anyone nearby would mis-shoot and hits you.

that should balance up MWO nicely and PGI can continue selling mech packs

Considering how "good" the Marauder 3R was before the nerfs, you got to admire the mysterious wonders the balance dartboard delivers.

Even when it had all it quirks, it wasn't even close to being the best heavy. Still it got nerfed, while the KDK-3 which is heads and shoulders above every other assault remains pretty much untouched thus far.

I'm surprised ppl can still honestly defend the Kodiak 3. Anyone that pays attention can tell it's OP. Matches are often decided by which team has more Kodiak's.

It just has too perfect a blend of firepower, durability & speed to keep any quirks.

MAD 3R was baller. It think what finished it off wasn't quirk nerfs but the resize. imo it's best atribute was tanking, now it's as easy to core as GHRs for me.

As I've said time and again, its not what you use, it's how you use it..

In capable hands, KDK-3 is a beast. In less skilled hands, it's just like any other assault dakka mech..

No different from a dakka Mauler, Direwolf, Jagermech, or other dakka mechs..

Did you... Seriously compare the Kodiak 3 with a 65 ton Jagermech that almost nobody uses nowadays?

Except the Kodiak is faster, has higher mounted weapons, and/or has more armor. It's a better mech than any of the ones you listed by a mile. Also, the Jagermech is in no way comparable, it's not remotely as good.

Mauler and Direwolf have no chance against a Kodiak-3. Kodiak has better mobility, firepower, hardpoint location and durability
JM6-DD (3xUAC5) does have an edge. Better speed and range (720 meters), harder to hit, requires less face time.

PS. It seems that KDK-3, with only basic skills is my luckiest assault as well!

any idea on how?
taking away quirks is not gonna bring it down, like at all
100t, clan xl and tech, high mounts (yeah I know thats for you, really loving putting in mg`s so the gaus goes above the cockpit)
aside from just slapping on negative quirks I don't really know

Limiting its torso twist arc to 60 degrees would help to tone it down. It will then struggle to retreat sideways behind cover.

I've seen that before suggested, while it may help a bit (same twist like Dire I think, right?)
I'd be fine with that, still wouldnt think that it would not bring the KDK-3 down to the other 100t mechs

the maneuverability of the XL 400, or even those downgraded engines makes the KDK so much more agile than a dire, you can turn those legs kinda fast to suit youre needs

I love it how we are still getting same arguments defending KDK-3 as we got before the UAC10 nerf. And yes, we have enough stats from leaderboards and people have played it and against it enough to know how overpowered it is.

But still we have some guys bleating that there's no proof that their favourite pawnmachine is in any way unbalanced. Honestly I find it a little bit insulting, do they think we're stupid or something?

Look at his individual links. Kodiak is tops in every leader board event since it came out.
Bandito must be on to something...gotta be some crazy coincidences going on to make such balanced mechs appear this messed up and luck is certainly the only way one can possibly explain the Kodiak's domination across every event.
