Long story short: it is his effort within the FRR to get a dedicated faction play evening going. If we all did this however, loyalists of all factions, mercs, soloists, everyone; we could maybe have a bit of fun and make our own little Tukayyid every Friday.

If there is interest in doing this within the FRR let Dane, CorpseZ or Topshot Tiger know if you are interested. If you are not in the FRR and want to set up some fights or organize your faction or unit to engage somewhere specifically, I'd let then know that as well or at least post at the link above if you have something in mind.

PGI may have decided to let CW die on the vine (at least until after mechcon) but that is no reason that we as a community can't put a little effort in trying to make it fun until then. So go to the link above and if you are in the FRR let those guys know that you are interested. If you're not in the FRR let em know that you and yours are still up for some CW matches and support this effort.

I'm too disinterested (you'd need massive bribes to get me to care) and while it's a noble effort.. PGI is doing nothing about it.

I simply have more Huntsmen to farm, Terra Therma to play, and get my total 500 match score for the night.

You'd think something like this would be on our community manager's radar... but like every community manager for PGI, they are MIA.

CW is a burned out shell. The hardcore l33t teams have already kicked all of the a$$ there is to kick and have moved on.

Anyone launching a CW PUG was just cannon fodder.

There is no incentive to win, and no hope for a PUG player to expect to win.

The CW "hardcore" model reached too far - there are far more PUG players here than there are hardcore teams.

I know, I know, CW sucks. I am one of the most vocal whiners regarding its state and PGI's refusal to fix it. That said, I still enjoy it when we can get a decent population playing. I had fun during the last CW based event. I think an effort by the community 1 night a week (Fridays) to make our own sort-of CW event could get enough people playing that wait times would be reasonably short and the game play just might be fun, if only for just one evening a week. Worth a try.

Might be better to convince PGI to up c-bill rewards one day a week in CW...see if the population upticks at all.

I don't want to play CW to grind out cbills or earn bobbleheads. I wanted to play CW because factions mattered. Now that we know they don't, I'll just stick to QP.

Fluff and role play is not gonna bring players into CW,

overhauling the maps will.

FP experience is in the matches and maps.

I'm in your crew Bud, and will happily join in in FP efforts. To me, even though it's been a failed abandoned promise, it's still what this game was meant to be. So... if it can yield a bit of fun, and maybe show that we're still hopeful that it could grow... I'm in!

I get so salty thinking about CW


I essentially quit that mode with the arrival of phase 3. I am a whopping rank 4 merc which means I played ~50 invasion games and mayble ~200 4v4s and bailed.

Yeah PGI has promised more promises but from the looks of things nobody is happy to play while they wait FOREVER
