Oooh, I'm so glad I have your permission. Take your thin veil of civility with you, it's obviously lacking in any form of substantive humanity.

Right, I'll take my "thin veil", and you can take your total lack, and we'll go our separate ways for now. And if, per chance, you insist on having the last word, I won't make it difficult for you. Good day.

Someone starts fourm on sensitive subject.
He already knows whats going to happen.
He puts that match to the tinder and watches the fire consume everthing
And sits back and laughs and laughs and laughs.

god this is beautiful to watch.

life lessons from me.

My little pony is for girls below the age of 13. I mean come on. Grown men should not watch that stuff!

I'm just going to honestly step in here.

Everyone has a choice to be who they want to be. People chose to respect your choices do your best to respect theirs. I have great respect for a number of bronies and furries because they don't lash back at all the condescending media and people who over-react at what their likes entail.

People are people I'm not saying furs or bronies are prefect they got good eggs and bad eggs just like any major interest group.

Do I have a fursona? Yes. Am I going to force it into everybody's face? No. Do I expect someone to not force their vews on me and be able to hold a neutral conversation on it inquiring into the whys and why nots? Yes.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Everyone should have that that's what makes a community just in general better and more welcoming to new folks.

That's my two cents.

Please, please, PLEASE don't take this the wrong way. I just read to this last page and my eyes are actively trying to kill me for it.
I'm not trying to start a fight here, but I would like to put out there something that I believe may have been evaded;
again this is just postulation but I feel that it wasn't recognized in my scanning of the scuffles being played out via text on this thread.
Suprentus ( God bless ya for serving ) has the opinion, that I find logical and frankly agreeable, that even though this is the off topic discussion section of the forums, that it is to be reserved for BT/MW threads that don't fall into the categories of General Discussion or others, but still BT/MW related. It seems to me, and I agree, that he feels in a manner similar to this:
The internet is literally littered with MLP and other Bronie/Furry forums and sites, and those are the appropriate places for such discussions. Not a site pertaining to this specific Sci-Fi/Military Fiction genre. With this I agree, and is it too unreasonable to approach it from that point of view?

This is the off-topic section, of the off-topic forum. I don't quite know why people don't understand this concept. If you have something MW/BT related, but not on-topic with the game, it goes in Off-Topic Discussions. If you wish to discuss anything else that has nothing to do with BT/MW, it goes in Jettisoned Communication.

People are people, and it's common behavior to find groups that share a common interest, and align with them. The more interests they share in common, the closer the bond.

In other words, because some of us share a love for BT, and ponies, we get along much better than if we socialize with just a generic group of bronies on another website, who may not like BT.

The whole point of having the Jettisoned Communication forum, is so people can post about things they enjoy, outside of MW, and find others who share a common interest.

Would you be equally as mad if I made a topic wondering who was a skydiver, and talking about skydiving? There's plenty of skydiving forums out there. Why discuss it here?

Why talk about Star Wars when there's Star Wars forums?

Why talk about YouTube videos when YouTube clearly has a comment section.

Dude... Really? If I had expected a bunch of bigots to wander in here I wouldn't have started it. I thought that I'd get some intellectual answers and not butthurt people like Suprentus to give me good answers.

This is fair.
Again, purely observation.

And thanks for responding with a level-headed post, not flaming me out of here :D

...Suprentus had valid points...
And think before you create threads in all honesty, this is the internet; anyone who's been on it for more than 10 minutes knows how things work here and don't pretend otherwise. You left yourself WIDE OPEN for all sorts of response from the community.

Yes, this is the internet, but I can expect a mature community. Too bad it's too hard to find one anymore. There are only two forums I see that are even partially mature anymore. I would have hoped a community with more adults would have more maturity than a ********* paintball forum that has ~8,000 users under the age of 14 but obviously I was wrong seeing the amount of adults more than willing to bash without valid points and the points that they do have are unsupported and over exaggerated.

That's kind of hitting below the belt, especially considering you edited his name.

Ah, so I did, sorry. That was a genuine misreading by me though (nor surprising when you just swap two letters in the middle of the word).

Wow. Just... wow.

You people are the reason the story of Sodom and Gomorrah was included in the Bible.

If you ever feel the need to justify what you are doing this badly, then you probably shouldn't be doing it.

Wow. Just......wow.

You're going to misuse the Bible and compare people who watch cartoons to cities of sinners who had not-so-happy bum sex with one another? Shame on you. You might want to look into that book again and try to understand it this time around.

Like every thing else in the OFF TOPIC section of the forums nothing . that is what the off topic section is for .for talking about things that are not about battletech. If the powers that be did not want us to talk about non battletech stuff there would not be a off topic section.

It comes down to a lot of things different with culture and how people were raised. Some people are not comfortable associating themselves in the same forum as others.

The only thing that makes any of this wrong is this anti-whatever posts/topics. STOP MAKING THEM AND SETTING UP FLAME WARS.

Maybe everyone should step back and think for a minute. This is the internet and you will find people from all parts of the globe with all kinds of different backgrounds. But here is the best part. THEY DON'T HAVE TO ALL AGREE! People are entitled to their opinion. Just let them be. Is it going to kill you? nah. Besides, this is a FAD and it will fade with time.

TL;DR This is absolutely pointless to argue about. Yes, it is really pointless.

True but you also don't kick down the door to someone else church and start yelling about how much you hate their religion which is what some people have been doing in the Pony thread.
