Beta is gonna be buggy. You aren't in beta. You have no idea what the game is actually like. Bug off.
Good to get that outta my system

Back with one-time purchase games, the only real competition was big games being released at the same time: players might have to decide which to get, if they had limited time or money. Once someone bought a game, a developer could care less if they went on to buy and play other games!
With F2P, though, and also with subscription based stuff, you need a constant playerbase willing to spend money in order to keep afloat. If a large portion of paying customers leaves one game to play another, and takes their money with them, then the first game could go under. The fanboys of those games, then, will automatically feel threatened and try to put down competing games... so that their preferred game stays in existence.

If you're talking about SW:TOR, when you mention a star wars MMO. From what I've gathered that game received an overwhelming amount of negative feedback from alot of people who've played it.

It's funny because a TON of people in other forums (looking at Penny-Arcade's at the moment) claim to be in the beta, and are openly discussing it.

it seems most people dislike it because, as I would've suspected, they're turned off by the idea of the game focusing around mechs. Some people just find the concept rather silly, I don't think it has anything to do with the the game itself or how it's being made.
I wouldn't worry about it or start questioning my own interest in this game. Besides, half of the people seem to like it.

Oh my founders tag proves I'm not gonna loose interest, just was stating it is like a joint effort by the large game groups to bring this down because they are either scarred of its success or just hate it or both.

Nah, I doubt it's anything as elaborate as that. Besides, why would you want something to fail if you didn't genuinely dislike it to begin with?
If anything they're just defending their own game because they hate hearing others talk about MWO so much. So I'd assume theirs no need to worry about some mass group of gamers collaborating to smear the name of MWO and make anyone who might be interested turn away and spend their money elsewhere.
