You are one lucky nerd. :-) She wouldn't happen to have a single sister, or estranged female relative that plays games as well? :-) I have yet to find my gaming girl.
I like the comic; I hope she keeps it up. It would be fun seeing her experience of the game from the perspective of the comic.

He he, she told me she noticed the missing "e" in Awesome the second after she uploaded it. She apologizes to the grammar police, specially since she's a grammar pro herself

Edit: Grammar :P

Glad to see I wont be the only one playing MWO with the wife lol. Seriously it is kind of awesome having a wife that is also into the same hobbies as you...that and having flamer support from her Dragon as I blow the crap out of Steiner mechs with my Catapult will be awesome:D

Weeeell; IIRC first you became best bros with her bro. Then her mother includes you in the "few decent friends my son has" list. Following, her mother asks you to build your GF-to-be a computer for school stuff, and puts you in a tight budget. You bust your a§§ finding cuality parts, but cleverly state: "She won`t need an expensive (at that time) dvd-rw, for school stuff a cd-rw migth do just fine". After that, you cassually say something like: "Hey, I have some cool encyclopdia that may come in handy, shame it`s on dvd. I can bring my dvd-rw and install it in your pc if it´s ok with you". Using the same excuse you present her with the cool new Prince Of Persia saga "Remember when we where kids? Except this game has state of the art graphics an a charismatic main character that just happens to be handsome and looses clothes as the game progresses" (That, I found to be fundamental. A game goes easier on the female crowd if it has a appealing main male character. Hell, Adam Jensen got her interested in Deus Ex HR as soon as I showed her the trailer :P )
So, al that optic drive swapping gave us the time to realize how much couple potential we had :D

That`s what worked for me, pal. Don`t know if it`s a "wide spectrum recipe" so, I wouldn´t count on it to work again ^_^

PS: All this writing made me realize I owe that dvd a great deal  ...
Edit: Spelling, oh my!

My GF and I have run a nice guild in WoW for many years. I'm less and less interested in WoW, trying to convince her to give MW:O a try. Wish me luck! lol

He he, thanks. I known. I think I emptied all my luck canisters in getting her to like me :D

Congrats!

My Wife is also a gamer (currently playing Minecraft in the background while I type this). I'm a huge gamer/computer nerd and I feel extremely lucky to have a wonderful and beautiful Wife who shares the gamer/geek gene with me. I don't know if she'd be into MechWarrior though, she prefer's RPG's and FPS games (Dead Island, Left4Dead, Gears of War, Halo, etc).

My Wife is also an artist, but does mainly graphic design stuff.

Is this where I get the "essential MWO rubber duck" (1st panel guys)?

I just Knew there was a reason I'm Still pending, pounding the keyboard, plus F5 smashing and it's all cause I don't have the "essential duck"!

Give me the duck, I Need the duck, I must Have the DUCK!!!

LMAO

Love the column guys. By all means, keep it going. Very appropriate for the techno couple.

Awww... that's really cute. :) Made my titanium, fusion powered heart beat a little.
Would be really fun to see how your beta goes in the future.
Also, EVERYBODY is a Mechwarrior deep in their heart. Many just never realise it 'cause of external distractions.

The Duck is essential for many reasons. He keeps me from Pending insanity and holds the whole computer togheter
The comic is already drawn, but she wants to photoshop it prior to uploading. Thanks a lot guys, very cool and heart-warming comments
