I still cannot believe Steiner were so stupid to ally with them. ;)

Funny irony about a Cappie saying such considering how in the past we almost allied with each other.
Around 2546 or so after the Davion Civil War relations between the Suns and the Confederation warmed up to the point Terril Davion and Chancellor Salicia Liao almost married. However they didn't hit it off and Terril wasn't really welcomed into the main Davion line, but the possiblity of a union was there.

Only through the might of Hanse Davion have we been close to achieving such a miracle for you poor rabble rousers ;) the Saint Ives Compact saw the writing on the wall, why can't you? B)

Don't forget to mention WHY Salicia turned down the marriage. ;)

They might keep the factions seperate just to keep more variety in the game. Although unless they introduce something other than different planets and logos, people are unlikely to to join anything other than the most populous faction.

I like both Steiner and Davion, and having even a remote relationship with much metal shredding would be good. Just gotta keep an eye on Liao, you can never trust them.

But Archon Katrina Steiner didn't attack House Davion, in fact she was the one that put out a peace proposal to the other houses and got turned down by all but Hanse Davion. The result of this was Hanse marrying Katrina's daughter Melissa, formation of the FedCom, and taking of about half the worlds of the Capellan Confederation in the 4th Succession War.

And some 50+ worlds on the Draconis front. Unless you mean the "other" Katrina.

You mean the one who did her best to keep the FedCom under control after the Skye separatists killed her mother?

*facepalm* Thanks for already catching this for me SMDMadCow,almost had to smack him around a little. I have had good contracts with Davion, no quarrels there. Steiner on the other hand...* draws and loads semi auto pistol, glances behind him * hasn't really earned my trust, in fact they've done more to **** me off then they've given good will.

EDIT: Really, they've taken out that word, it is the same thing as loading a pistol
FURTHER EDIT: Changed the word

I don't know about the rest of Team Steiner, but I think it might be in our interests (and in the spirit of the FedCom) to reach out to House Davion and build some good diplomatic links. In the storyline the 3040s are portrayed as fairly peaceful and prosperous for the Federated Commonwealth. As such maybe we could get some cross-pollination between the two sub-forums? There might not be a FedCom faction in MWO but I intend to stand by our comrades in the Federated Suns right up until 3057. :D

I would never willingly fire on a fellow FedCom citizen, even if they were a Steiner.

Minor detail? If we're talking about the same "Katrina" - she killed her own mother.

Davions are nothing warmongers, you had the chance for peace once and outright refused, instead continuing a long and bloody war, there is no light to see from the FedSuns, only the blackness of tyranny which i shall soon liberate my Highlander brethren from.

"In 2808, the Chancellor of the Capellan Confederation,Ilsa Liao, renounced her predecessor's claim as First Lordship and offered her support for Prince Paul Davion's claim if the Federated Suns would cede theChesterton region to the Confederation in perpetuity. Paul Davion instead ordered two units to seize the Capellan worlds of Ulan Batar and Farwell. Why the Prince took this action is still a matter of speculation, but his refusal delayed peace between the two houses for another thirteen years."

You can start at the second paragraph of the overview.
