- Dont make us stand in the sun for 1hr+ while we wait to go inside. Im a fair skinned lad, and dont tolerate prolonged sun exposure very well.
- Two beer limit? really?
- More free play stations... not sure if this was a serious problem, but the few times I wanted to free-play, they were all taken.

I'm just glad we made it to the final round, especially as just a random team (I heard some people who came early formed theirs). Man that was a close match. In the final round, Team 13's superior tactics prevailed. We heard originally that they were going probably going to go real heavy, and up the middle. Our plan was to stay within 3 squares of the cap point, and play defense, but that sort of fell apart half-way through as we got engaged and pulled in too far, but that's what happens. We also had a "Code Zeta" for the jenner to move behind and pressure their cap if they got too entangled in the center field, but Code Zeta got called too early and our jenner ended up getting torn apart. All in all though, it was a great game. Pity we couldn't get that last kill to force a re-match. Nice playing you guys, as well as our opponents in the earlier matches, good games. Anyone have any battle stories they want to share?
A lot of technical difficulties that tournament. I know a lot were getting crashes, while I had a messed up keyboard config in the quarter and semi final (Someone was a left-hander, and didn't switch the keyboard back, hence in the semi, I was forced to primarily alpha strike as I couldn't assign the weapons properly). I know another team mate had issues with having reverse y axis. Hence I was asking Russ if we could get a "Default Setup" button
Anyhow, now with this gtx 560 gfx card, I'll be able to replace this 8800GT and actually be able to engage in close-range brawler combat without the graphics stuttering! Was going to buy another card in two weeks too.
Thanks Team 2 for the comraderie, and Nvidia, PGI, and all the other sponsors for the event!

I wonder how the extra Legendary account they are giving us will work. I guess a CD key to give away to someone else (I'm pretty sure we were all founders already)

I want to say thank you to PGI, NVIDIA AND IGP for everything involved in getting the tournament set up. I thought the prizes were amazing and beer and pizza is always nice. It was my first tournament for any video game so you can kinda call me a noob in that respect. The games were intense and fast paced. For anyone laughing about shutdowns, all mechs were stock. I ran my Jenner F for all the matches, only 10 heat sinks stock. First match on Caustic Valley. Fired an alpha at match start to test heat and spiked well over 60% heat and it kinda just hung there with not much to cooling down, thinking to myself, oh snap this is going to suck. These matches were no joke. Big congrats to everyone on my team, very well played in all matches. Big congrats to team 2 for putting up a heck of a fight. And thank you everyone for the experience, I had an awesome time. I look forward to many more mecha experiences such as this. I am very happy because we have one hell of a game.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

I had a great time. I met some friends outside of San Fransisco, fought a tight battle against veteran foes, shook hands with Bryan Ekman and Russ Bullock, and got a chance to hand-deliver some swag. Russ even signed my Atlas Tile.

I'm sad that the party didn't go all night... but at the same time I was running on zero sleep and couldn't have lasted much longer anyways. Next time, you guys, next time when you say: "Doors close at 9:00pm," you'd better mean: "Doors closed to additional guests at 9:00pm, party until 4am."

Towards the end of the event, I over heard someone say that he had to go home and buy his wife a Founder's pack so she could play more.. and apparently, she wasn't even a gamer!
Got to meet Russ briefly, Bryan was always tied up in interviews when I went to meet him.. met some good folks (don't ask their names though.. couldn't tell you if I tried).
Oh, and Go Team 8!

Look at the bright side - With such a large shirt, at least you have a chance at smuggling someone else into another event like this.
But seriously, maybe the first people out the door got something smaller than XL? It dwarfs me too, as I'm a Schmedium guy.
I'm just going to torch mine in the dryer or desert sun, whichever is hotter, and hope that shrinks it
