Does anyone here know how much ammo the MG actually consumes per firing cycle?

The charts don't actually list the MG's cooldown, but if we assume that one shot deals 0.04 damage and consumes one ammo, it would mean a recycle time of 0.1 to get to a Max DPS of 0.4.

But I also seem to have gotten the idea from somewhere that one MG salvo fires about 10 bullets (for 0.04 damage)...

The files specify the rate of fire as 10.

Thanks a lot. I was just working on efficiency charts, and the MG looked awesome, because it simply wouldn't need any notable amount of ammo.
But then I remembered something about the MG firing more than 1 bullet per shot. a ROF of 10 puts the MG back down to the lowest bottom on the chart...

Does anyone have any references regarding the starting armor values of each mech, and how they are allocated by default?

That's a request for a slippery slope. How much did you want stripped out? Heat Sinks? Engine? Armor? Electronic warfare equipment? There's no easy way to make a concise chart for every single permutation of what each player's idea of "stripped 'Mech" would be.

Ohm, I just have to say that your sheets are bar none, the best MWO reference out there. So useful and handy. Keep the good stuff coming budd.

My most sincere thanks!

How about this? Permutate away!

Could also do a subtotal for all removable equipment (everything but armor, engine, and chassis) for a "payload" stat, which I mentioned a few pages ago.

EDIT: I make no claims as to the accuracy of the weights in the picture above; it's just a proof of concept. Ohm's guide and the MWO StatLab don't agree on the weight of the 245 engine.

These charts are awesome, but I'm having a hard time understanding the EHS column. If one heat sink removes 0.1 heat per second, it doesn't make any sense. For example, if a Medium Laser produces 1 HPS, how can it have a EHS value of 8 instead of 10? The ratio of HPS/EHS isn't even the same for all weapons. It's 0.125 for many weapons (including the Medium Laser), but eg. the ER PPC and LRMs have different values. So how is EHS calculated for each weapon? Currently I just ignore that column, and calculate it myself.

Sorry if this has been asked before, the search function sucks because it doesn't allow searching for 3 letter acronyms.

They changed several balance things with the last patch, so this needs to be updated. Engine weights are different and a few weapons are too (TAG weighs 1 instead of .5 now).

Fantastic charts, very helpfull and easy to read. Thanks!

*edit:
However I find a great need for the updated ones! Could you include the critical slots amount for mechs too?
Silly me... all mechs have the same amount of crit-slots. *doh!*

Does the PPC not have a minimum anymore? Your spreadsheets showed the minimum went away between versions.

Hello, I've just finished updating my excel data with Oct. 25th patch update. Few data has changed.
(The whole Engine's weight has changed as well, it's a long list... skip that for a moment.)

TAG is now 1.0 ton (before was 0.5)

AC10 has 2.5 cooldown time (before was 3)

NARC produce no heat (before was 2, regardless what current chart say...)

PPC still have 90m minimum range as shown in ItemStats.XML file.

In Ohm`s spreadsheet, max engine on Awesome - STD290/XL290.

But i play with XL385 on Awesome AWS-9M.

Before, Standards was better from lower-end, toward the higher-end, it slowly favors the XL engine.

So far from what I've studied on the Engine's weight changes... it seem lower-end and higher-end Engine Speed favors the XL over Standard. Standard are favor in the middle, between 200 to 300.

Strange changes.
