Myself and gamer kin in MN are working to establish another FRR unit, currently looking to be one or two company sized by launch of MWO (and also playing some Mech4). Will happily share details when things are set up, and then we'll see how the Dragon stares down the collective might of Rasalhague.
Any other largish FRR combat units floating around that I haven't found?

Welcome to the Forums, Swordborn.
Define large... We are far and away the largest, but there are a few 10+ member units floating around

The only other two I'm really aware of are Ulfhednar and the Gunzburg Igels (a German group). Not sure how large either of them is at the moment.

Then again, it's somewhat refreshing to have so many faction and such unique character for each in an MMO.

I'm rather a fan of the Hunchback, being an infighter myself, and I've recreated the 4N (or something very like it) on a few occasions as necessary. I find it to be acceptable, but maybe the purist in me is a little befuddled by not saucing things with an AC20.

Welcome recruit! This is the powerful Striker Lance "Gungnir", 1st Bat. 2nd Co. of the infamous Shieldwall of Rasalhauge. What is a Gungnir you ask? Gungnir is the powerful spear of the father God, Odin, father of Thor, Baldr, and Váli. Like Gungnir, this lance strength's in flexibility, accuracy, deadliness, and enacting our will on the field of battle.
Flexibility. It means we can be capable of adapting our tactics to fit the situation as best as we can, running differing 'mechs as the battle deployment calls for, and working closely with our sister lances to be the most effective fighting force walkin'.
Accuracy. Striking hard and fast into the enemy battle line, sundering it apart, raining devastation upon all foe's within range.
Deadliness. Shooting first, asking questions when we collect salvage. Placing our shots in target, no matter where, a slow moving 'mech is a dead 'mech, as much as one missing it's head. Using our 'mechs in physical combat may be encouraged.
Will. I think Wikipedia puts it best, in this case: Odin sometimes acts as the instigator of wars, and is said to have been able to start wars by simply throwing down his spear Gungnir, [sic...] to influence the battle toward the end that he desires.
Together with our sister lances, companies, and battalions, we will crush all of those whom attempt to breach the Shieldwall!
Now, I call upon you, brother and sister Rasalhaguians, to assist in the destruction of our enemies, and the consumption of mead!
