Has anything been said what advantages or disadvantages of belonging to a particular house would be ?

Or is everything going to be the same for all players ,

I mean will some mechs be made availiable only to a few houses and other mechs availiable to others ect , or will it be just based on c-bills etc

Everyone can use every mech. Some for cheaper, some more expensive. ;)

Aside from that and "land" you protect, there shouldn't be any difference.

The advantages are House Steiner is best.

Change your house in your profile/allegiance icon.

So far all they've said is that different houses have different prices in the store. The Capellan Confederation(House Liao) for example really likes its Catapult, so that one might be cheaper for followers in that faction.

You can find out who likes what on sarna or other sources but you have to do some text digging.
"The Catapult is heavily used by the Capellan Confederation, although it is found in other Great House armies in smaller numbers."(Cappellen Confederation is House Liao)
"The Dragon was originally designed in a bid to replace the Shadow Hawk. After the 'Mech was turned down by the SLDF, the design was picked up by the Draconis Combine in 2754."(Draconis Combine is House Kurita)
"The Commando became popular among the LCAF forces and nearly 600 years later it is still mainly in Lyran use. Especially during the years of the Star League the Commonwealth went to great pains to keep the Mech solely in Lyran hands."(Lyran Commonwealth is House Steiner)

I picked my faction because almost our entire region is going to be the "front lines"... and i favor clan ghost bear over the others, which we get absorbed into much later on.

Join the FRR, we are a prosperous young house with everything to offer! Our horizons are bright and atleast after all of that terrible stuff in the past we can be sure of a few solid centuries of peace! I know in my heart that the Rasalhague is the safest place you could possibly be right now. If I where you I'd enlist for the FRR army right now, all you have to do is hang around in a giant mech and patrol every few hours, no danger except from some criminals every now and then. Yep the FRR is really the place to be right now! prosperous, safe and plenty of opportunity.

...What? Why are you all looking at me like that for? What? WHAT??? :|

Honestly... I am mostly just waiting for Clan Wolf to become an option (introduced to the universe through Mechwarrior 2 at a young age.)

House Davion, however, has always been my favorite of the houses. I cannot really say why for sure but I think at least part of it would stem from the fact that they gave you access to clan-tech in Mechcommander 2 (another early part of my experience with the universe), and in the end of that game you were on their side as if they were the good guys all along. I guess I just always associated them as the good guys compared to the other houses even though I know all houses have their dirty laundry.

But like I said. Once Clan Wolf gets added as a playable faction I am jumping ship.

Just a side note on House mechs, The Free Worlds League; is the largest producer and purchaser of Awesomes. Though most go to garrison unit that have contracts with House Marik representatives.

Nothing is as cool as space vikins in robots. I wish there was, but there isn't...

Maybe it's just me but I would guess and fathom various other perks you would get, however they would probably all revolve around keeping the game fair. If for instance 2x as many player pick a house over another, they might not get as many C-Bills or there might be a C-Bill bonus for accepting missions if your a merc with a certain house who is having difficulties.

I'm pretty sure they said it some where as well. I think it would be sensible use of game perks, especially since this does effect the universe we are in.

I have no loyalty at the moment, I do like Steiner and Rasalhague, but I wouldn't want to get stuck with a set type of mechs.
If they do not restrict mechs, which I doubt they would I'll most likely fight for whomever pays the most.
