I guess...Catapult until somthin better comes along! (8 shots per launcher sux!)

Hopefully, much like TT teams, lousy pilots / ******* pilots will choose the larger houses, leaving us the more mature and dedicated faction!

Raven, Vindicator, Cataphract and Victor were definitely all produced within the CC around 3025. I think they lost the Victor production line when St. Ives split off.

Of course, the CC would have access to all the meat and potatoes mechs: stuff like the 13 unseen/reseen (check Sarna.net if you don't know what this means), Catapult, Hunchback, etc etc.

On the bright side, the Raven should be dirt cheap for the Capellans and darn expensive for everyone else, and it is the premier electronic warfare mech in the inner sphere during the MWO timeframe!

Cheers

Fun Fact...

The Flea design was originally stolen by Death Commandos from Wolf's Dragoons around 3050.

One of the Wolf's Dragoons had Jaime Wolf? commenting on a destroyed Death Commando Mech on Outreach.

Can anyone remember the novel?

Jaime and the Dragoon's played heavily in so many of the BT books.. Wolves on the Border comes to mind but It's been years since I've read any of them.. Was it one of Charette's though?

If you go to this site, you can filter based on House availabilities, I would stick to the level 1 and some level 2 mechs at this point to see the mechs that are typically available for the CC.

http://www.solaris7....&Direction=DESC

You can sort by name or tonnage or level etc.
This helps.

Good info. Looks like the Jenner should be avaiable for a light. Still like the Buchet for a medium

Must have been either "Wolfpack" or one of the DA novels.

Would have been typical for Romano Liaos insanity to get blueprints from a customer instead of the producer. ^^

The Capellean mechs of choice will get larger as the timelimes movesforward. The development of "house specific mechs" really takes off after the clanners stick their noses in where they don't belong. Right now (3049) 4 SWs have pretty much spred available mech types through the entire IS. Amazing what a few of centuries of generally unremitting warfare does toward spreading technology around.

Don't miss your chance to vote for Cataphract. Pure Capellan design, effective armament configuratio, 13,5 tons of armor and impressive mobility, I think it's the best 'Mech of all four present in the poll, Caesar is chassis copied by Davions from Cataphract, but made uglier, its popularity is explained by unbalanced forum's population, but Excalibur! Really?

When an atlas fails you need the XANTHOS!!!! Best assault mech for Tech 1. We need to bring it back in to production earlier then the Jihad.

Not the best looking... but have to love the guns and armor.

Yes, it is a pure CC design... LC you know you want the plans for it.

Man, it would be amazing to have Age of War designs like the Xanthos in MWO. They'd be excessively rare due to not being in production anymore, but hey, we gotta have some exclusive prize 'Mechs somewhere!

Interestingly, I never really liked the old Capellan Mech designs in the past.
The only exemptions being the Raven and the Catapult, which is the reason
why I like to pilot them in Mechwarrior Online.
I realise that they were to a certain extent supposed to look clunky, raw, even
unsophisticated compared to other Mechs due to the material, spare parts
and technologcial restraints. But still... man, they looked ugly.
Vindicator, Hunchback, Cataphract, Trebuchet even the Blackjack, they
all fully deserved to be called "Frankenstein" mechs... at least in my opinion.

Of course, beauty - or in this case it might be more apt to say appreciation of
design - lies in the eye of the beholder, but what a difference when comparing
those old machines to newer modells such as:

Yu Huang (one of my absolute favourites) and
Wraith (I am not sure though regarding the Wraith... it is not really a Capellan
design, is it? Rather it seems to have been imported... or am I mistaken?)

I know that technically, the following two mechs are not exactly new models,
but as they were not available to Capellans for a long time, I think they qualify
to get mentioned:

Pillager (primarily produced in St. Ives, but still... a former "Capellan" design?)
Emperor (same as the Pillager)

Another mech I would like to point out is the Tai-sho, which is of course not of
Capellan but Draconian design. Still, it shows many design features similar to
the Emperor and even Pillager. Which makes the Tai-sho very cool :D

The Wraith is built within the FWL and imported by the CCAF. So its a foreign design in capellean use.

Here's a list of all MWO mechs used by CCAF in 3050. This info is straight from Combat Operations. Interestingly Capellan mechs are the most represented in MWO currently, notably the Raven, Catapult, & Cataphract.

Are you sure about that sheet?

Because Hunchabck is also a design CCAF swears by the lore, onl Davions have some plant for the Highlander and I'm 100% sure we are the only house that can produce Fleas right now.

Practicing for Yu Huang or Emperor, until either becomes the mech of the highly ranked, huh? ;)
