Hey everyone, can not believe I did not hear about this sooner than I did...that aside I am struggling to find some hard information on game mechanics and such...

My biggest question at the moment, and I apologize if this is somewhere and I just have not found it yet...

As I understand it, "Faction" aligned players can not have custom units(guild), where as Mercs can have custom units, set up their lance structures and command structure. Is this correct?

Can faction players pre assemble before a drop or is it purely random?

Also are their any good places to read up on specific stats on weapon systems etc or should I just bust out some compendiums from the garage?

How do you join a faction, have checked everywhere but must have either missed it or it's not there.

Factions aren't currently in game yet

As to the OP, from my understanding, yes faction players can form a group and drop as a group. they just can't make personal faction units.
