Combat Engineer/Tech Officer Mech

Capable of, mines, repair, retrieval (ammo, stock of repair parts?(The ability to refit entire limbs to damaged mech's!!!! dependent on scraps you can find on the battlefield)) , turrets? of any nature be they semi autonomic thermal mines, laser turrets, mortars, repair stations, 'Helium4 super-fluid' cooling cannon- ejector (allowing super heavy fire from a particular teammate, at the cost of your ability to attack yourself)
Tech version - Radar stations or upgraded suite (meaning enemy scouts must be careful not to get cut off in recon while yours are free to team up and attack?etc.) dispersion fields, over charge ? temporarily boosting a mechs top speed and responsiveness (followed by a short burnout period (allowing a more critical larger mech to escape - at the expense of your own life if the burnout applied to you?) , increased ranging in a targeted area, or dropped laser rangefinders or vibration sensors,).....
the possibilities are endless.. It would promote a more centralized / effective tactical plan, with the mech being medium heavy, fast enough but light armour and severly compromised weapons options if it wants to carry any payload of whatever Engineer/ Tech suite it wants. It would need protection but can help defensively or offensively, this means the team would need cohesion - this I feel would lead to more strategic maneuvering and guerrilla tactics, hit and run attacks and flanking the enemy's area awareness / defenses.
As I say the possibilities are endless, it might make matches a bit longer or a lot - that would be beauty it would avoid the inevitable strategic plan being scouts-scout, mediums kill scouts, heavy's kill mediums and atlas, atlas kill everything till no-one to scout for you then you get mugged (very simplified I know no offence intended). !!!!!!!
let me know what ya think!!!!

Also this shouldn't be a mech, but an option in the commander's unlock tree for the pilot. That way only 1 commander can use 1 "droppable" reload center which can also be shot by the enemy. Therefore increasing tactics.

"Jenner to Command. One Awesome is down and Ammo Depot is destroyed."
No Tech is going to volunteer to be that close to the front. In 3050 a skilled tech is worth allot.

I definately agree with the only one part, so maybe the commander , or maybe it would have to take the slot of a super heavy or something else, but yeah only one per team is ness
cheers

Mechwarrior Living Legends has a support vehicle for reloading mechs though. Not sure if you want to spend a slot in your company for it though.

J-27 Ordnance Transport
Only transports transports Ammo. It does not place the ammo into the Mech. I do not want to see this game turn into something were a Mech walks up a node and gets its ammo replaced. It would take half the match just to reload the ammo on one Mech.

True, good answer, premature post, it was a 'person new to the dynamics of a given situation' post
