It is nice, overall, but the paint scheme of DCs is black/green, not gray/green. ;)

I know! But then you cannot see details. :(

Love the old combat95 desert colour scheme on the Raven, the desert C95s were always my favourite rather than the green.

Great work mate.

I had fun painting this up in my ol' Clan's colors.

Thanks mate :) I never really liked the green either, though I do like the new CRYE multicam that's now been adopted. Makes the Commando look really nice I think.

We have a Raven, and no Capellan colours.

We have a Raven, but it lookes more like a dog.

We have a Raven, but it is presented in Davion colours.

Are you sure we have a Raven?

With that said, seeing little can be done to correct this, could you at least make some proper CC green repaints, please? :(

Adrios, I'm already on it.

ED: That said, a Davion Raven isn't exactly an uncommon thing. During the 4th succession war so many were captured that some thought the design was in fact a new Davion design. So says the 3039 TRO ;D

Doh! I am on it as well... And someone went Death Commando before me. Oh well, lucky there are much more Capellans (and Davions) to do.

I dig the subdued faction decal, Ironhawk! Great work on the re-skin!

Next 10 are going to be Ravens. You can probably guess which factions I'll be using for paint schemes. *whsitles*

First up is the CAPELLAN CONFEDERATION'S 15th Dracon! Character is for "Rabid Dog".
Posted Image

Last one for tonight. 1st. St. Ives Lancers of the St. Ives Compact.
Posted Image

EDIT: Ok, I lied. One more tonight... this one is not meant to be a unit scheme, but represents an individual 'mech serving with Kerr's Raiders, whose parent unit was the Tikonov Reserves. Neither of these units survived the 4th succession war, but I like to include some of these older insignia. I took this route, since I had no access to any good Tikonov Reserve paint scheme info.
Posted Image

EDIT: It was coincidence. And bound to happen eventually. Normally when other folks start to put up repaints, I try to avoid doing anything along those lines, as this increases the variety of work. Anyway, it's finally happened, the inevitable. Ironhawk and I did the same unit, the 2nd McCarron's Armored Cavalry. Anyway, for those who like the BIG MAC and those who like blue-ish paint schemes, this is a red-letter day. For the more diversity-minded of you, this is surely a day that will live on in infamy. Eh. Anyway, here it is. My 2nd MAC Raven.
Posted Image

EDIT: 1st Ceti Hussars Raven. "Electric Mayhem".
Posted Image

EDIT: 11th Avalon Hussars
Posted Image

ED: 2nd St. Ives Lancers Raven
Posted Image

ED: St. Ives Cheveau Legers, this is my conjectural scheme for the unit, since there is such a dearth of information on it.
Posted Image

ED: Blackburn's Raiders Raven. I had to make some general changes to the scheme because of the way the 'mech is facing, but this should get the job done just as well.
Posted Image

ED: This last one is gonna mix it up a bit. It's for the Tamar Jägers, a group of german-speaking players who have taken up the mantle of one of the Succession Wars (TT) units that never really materialized.
Posted Image

That's it for this page! I will fill in the "gaps" on page 89 before I go on!

Is it me, or does the Raven look especially good with bold, contrasting color schemes? Nice job guys.

When I see those Ravens in Capellan (read: proper) colours, my hate for some of the new parts on them suddenly goes away.

Thanks, both of you. And great job. ^_^

Ironhawk and Hayden: great work as always!

Alfalphacat: I'm on the road, but I was already planning on painting one up for the 12th

edit: Unless you'd prefer one of the other guys to do it... ;)

The small/spindly nature of it keeps the color to a minimum, but I think keeping it light works pretty well. Going to try a few things as an experiment, we'll see if anything turns out worth sharing...

Dihm, Hayden, I have to say I love both of these schemes best among your work. Nice color balance and accent color palette in each case. I may put a '... considering St-Ives if...' in my sig now.

Thanks IH.

My attempts at doing a "raven skull" or making the beak more beaky through paint and "feathers" has failed mightily. Someone better than me take the idea and run with it. :D
