I agree that the logo is bright but when applying it to the layer below it was, in my opinion, too subdube. Also I wanted people too know who it was for and I see it got your attention

Arachnophobes, beware. The next 10 are going to be spiders.

This first one is piloted by a member of the 15th Deneb Light Cavalry. I chose this paint scheme because it was rather simple, and I wanted to use it to get a feel for some of the ambient lighting.


ED: One of Marshigama's Legionnaires 'mechs. This particular one is meant as a (completely) conjectural guess at what the Spider piloted by Garrell Wowak might look like. This is also current to 3049, well before the mercenary group was folded into the Capellan Brigade as a house unit.


ED: 2nd Republican Spider. Free Tikonov, baby! But in all seriousness, they're with the Lyrans now... last one for tonight. More tomorrow.


ED: 16th Galedon. Probably the last one for this morning.


A spider from the Killer Bees. I used the older logo in lieu of the later one. Not really sure which is accurate for the period, so I went with my gut. This is meant to depict a Killer Bees 'mech in combat in the field, where the normally kitschy parade scheme would be replaced with a superbly conceived camo scheme. ED: The Hangeul reads "Vigilante".


ED: Kittery Borderers Spider.


ED: A little lovin' for the CCAF. This is a 'mech from Kamakura's Hussars of the Sarna Reserves. I decided to rework the insignia from an 18th century hussar to a 17th century Polish winged hussar. Last one for tonight.


ED: Atrean Hussars Spider.

I can imagine it. And yes, I will finish the last 10 post, but that's on the back-burner while I crank these out.

God I love this thread. It is the most civilized and consistently amazing thing on this site, aside from Alex's art which is also consistently amazing . edit; or maybe some extra b/g for this guy: HBK-4G "Silverback" piloted by Kenny "Brass Rail" McElroy. at least that's what I see Everytime I see these repaints a fun b/g scenario pops in me brain.
