Hmm... Atlas or Hunchback in Flecktarn, please? Otherwise, it'd be kinda cool to see something in M05 Snow, or maybe Platanenmuster Herbst

Hehe ok will have a look into Flecktarn. Ger: Ich werde mal das aktuelle Tropen-Flecktarn benutzen da ich davon ein gutes Bild gefunden hab. Eng: Will use the actual Flecktarn camo patern for tropic regions.

Also i may take a look into M05Snow since it's a really nice snow camo. Wonder how it looks on a mech ;)

mmm mmm mmm! Crye Precision multi cam on a battlemech. good work man!

I will rework that mech and have some details and other stuff. Stay tuned! Multicamo rocks :D

Ok but now something completely different ;)
Currently i am working on some more 'serious' paint jobs.

First for today...well actually its first and second but...well have a look:

The Death Commandos - one of my favourite House units

based entirely on Sarna and camospecs. Hope you enjoy :)

First is without any "fancy" stuff. More the commando-way to ride a mech. Always prepared but always in disguise...kinda ;) Well they just dont have to show off. And btw the roman 1 stands for the first Btl xD

Posted Image

And the second one: Now with some personal influence from the pilot ;) Hope you like the little skulls on the rocket covers hehe. The writing in the middle says "Trained in all forms of combat" and the "Semper Fi" (lat. for "Always Loyal" in this meaning) stands for the bond to the Chancellor and the Capellan Conf.

Here is my first attempt, it is in the colors of my Merc Unit, The Phalanx of the Sun. I'd like to thank Hayden for the template that really made this easy. Also I edited the Thighs because I like the smooth look more, shows the Emblems better.

EDIT: And first of a set. Coloring is a bit more wild than the usual. Scheme was detailed by the requester, as were insignia (save the one on the lower right leg, which I made for the requester). Tartans are 2nd Kearny Highlanders (torso) and family tartan of requester (lower torso, upper legs). Little Mechwarrior provided by requestor (hopefully nearly to scale). Atlas head from Piranha concept art (I put it in so it would appear less akward standing). More to come.
Posted Image

EDIT: 3rd Amphigean LAG (Conjectural) Jenner. This is the unit I'm hoping to create in MWO.
Posted Image

EDIT: 3rd Amphigean LAG Atlas.
Posted Image

EDIT: 3rd Amphigean LAG Dragon.
Posted Image

EDIT: Lone Star Regiment Dragon. I used the old insignia I whipped up earlier.
Posted Image

EDIT: Liao Reserves Hunchback. This unit was destroyed in the 4th Succession War, so we will not be seeing it in action, sadly. Paint scheme per Camospecs booklet.
Posted Image

EDIT: Atrean Hussars Hunchback. I did the insignia, too, aside from the MARIK eagle.
Posted Image

EDIT: 1st Kearny Highlanders Atlas (Northwind Highlanders)
Posted Image

EDIT: Last one for this page. Proserpina Hussars (love that name) Jenner. This is one I started back in November and never finished. I decided to just crank it out and be done with it.

Thanks for watching!

Very impressive... And that was fast too! Like 30 minutes?!?!?! Sheesh LOL You got it bang on too. The original paint scheme was developed working with Joel H. from CamoSpecs. He did an entire company for me for the TT games (click HERE to see the TT version of the GRC). As far as we know, it's not like any canon scheme.

Too bad PGI hasn't released some of the cooler mech models (like Marauder? Marauder II? Archer? Thunderbolt?)

Yeah, I've love to see some of the great unseen classics... Would love to get my hands on that concept art... on that note, have a look at their website:
http://www.piranha-games.com/
There's something on that page that makes me wonder and hope. Though I know it's old and that I shouldn't look too deeply into it, I can't help but feel that the continued presence of the '09 Warhammer is trying to tell me something.

Tried something a little different this time - more 'pronounced' highlights and some weathering. Not sure if I want to keep trying this style. 'Mech is from the Illician Lancers, 59th Strike Regiment. Original can be seen here: http://i.imgur.com/hBrC2.jpg

Well someone said Flecktarn!?!?!? (German Camo) //EDIT: Actually it is the German Vehicle Camo

Here it is! Thought a Jenner would fit in well as kind of an "old" mech.
No signs or decals or stuff.
Tried to really 'think' like someone who has to paint the mech. So i tried to get a good "camouflage" but on the other hand paint parts differently so that you would see the parts moved or were painted befor they were installed...well hope you know what i mean :D

It's not really flecktarn, it's more like the old US Woodland camo used in the 80s and 90s. That said, I think it looks quite good!

Thanks!
Ok i think you'r kinda right. It is not Flecktarn cause Flecktarn was developed for infantry and i will try to put it on a mech later, but my intention was to put the actual German Army vehicle camo on a mech. And that is the one i used ;) I have to say i turned up the green a little bit in it's saturation...that said, it really starts to look like the old US Woodland :D

Actually the first thing I thought when seeing that pic was: "hm, that looks familiar!"... ^^
It's definetly not Flecktarn, trust me, I had to wear that for 9 months! lol
Nevertheless, it's pretty much the same paintscheme the german military uses for it's vehicles, see for yourself:

In fact I think it does very well look like it belongs to the german military.
And srsly who'd want to paint Flecktarn on a whole tank?!?
