Why don't you guys just put closed beta, insted of missleading people with Pending beta requests? I'm also here by canceling my request to join this beta, so erase me and the request from your servers.

Uhh...because it is still closed beta........and pending means just that. You might get in at any time.

It seems you misunderstood what a closed beta means - they choose participants based on application (which may or may not involve some selection criteria) and everything in the beta is under the NDA. This is different from open beta, where pretty much everyone can log on, subject to server capabilities.

Apparently someone missed the memo stating that if you buy a founders package you get immidiate access to the closed beta...

He is trying to imply that in order to enter the beta you have to buy the Founder pack. Otherwise your invite will be pending till open beta/release.

I am still waiting for open beta. I wanted to buy the founder's pack, but my country does not have dollars in salary I won't pay triple for currency exchange. I am still a daily student (ya know, harsh times)

There are plenty of guys in the Beta who don't have a Founders pack.

You could become a founder (i.e. drop a little cash) and you will get you early access to the game. That's stated right in the description of the Founder's Program. If you're really that interested.

Although I'm not sure quite how long you've waited up to this point. Just keep in mind beta aslo means 'not finished', so if you do join the beta, doin't expect a polished product (seems to be a an odd phenomenon around here).

I don't understand why there is such a huge sense of entitlement regarding getting into the closed beta.

1. If you want in now, spend the $30 to be a founder and go.
2. The game's in "Closed Beta". Closed beta's are not for you - they are for the developers. Closed beta is crowd-sourced QA, not for playing the game, for finding bugs and other screwups.
3. MWO is going to be released in a few weeks barring the finding of any major problems (which I will gratefully appreciate PGI manning up and delaying the release to fix rather than rush a buggy product to market) and the open beta could be any time now.

Hey heres an Idea... contribute to the community and wait a while, stop feeling so entitled and don't be such a whiner. Maybe then youll get in beta.
Also you have had an active ccount for less than a month. Some people here have been waiting for beta for almost a year and are much more dedicated fans than you and are also clearly willing to spend money. People like you don't even deserve a beta key.

Beta isn't for everybody - the whole game isn't there, and you have to start again from scratch when the game is released. All those complaining about not getting into closed beta are going to be upset about beta lacking so many features and complain when they can't keep their progress at launch.

OK, granted, I don't have 1000 posts, but am I the only one to notice that whenever someone whines like a schoolgirl about something being 'unfair' they always have only 1 or 2 posts?

But seriously, why cancel your pending status when you could be accepted tomorrow? or maybe the day after?

On another note, CB isn't just about playing the game, it's about trying to break it so you can tell the devs so they can go back and improve things. . which is hard to do when your trying to make notes on some glitch and you have 3 guys shooting you who when you try to explain what your doing laugh, and call you a noob for not firing back. Some people are just too stupid to understand the role of a CB . . .

NOTE: this isn't a scene from MW:O before someone slaps me with ceiling mech

Stick with it, even if you don't make CB, there's always OB.
