:D all that ranting about betrayal and traitors, well, that´s why i decided to go Merc till Operation revival... no one shall call me a Dezgra Traitor!

so, after i stated my point, i have to mention I´d be gladly fighting aside you Rasalshaguians to protect what once will be the Dominion. ;-)

I will be entirely disappointed if they do not let us fight the Clans to change the timeline.

haven´t the devs already stated there won´t be an altered universe timeline?

I kind of hope they represent FRR's dislike of mercenaries in the game by making it harder to build reputation with them. I realize that's the case, but we're also pretty set on focusing on FRR.

There's a huge chance that if Goonswarm shows up in force (They probably will) they'll be going for FRR too, so it is very likely FRR will be the surprise wildcard of MWO. I will be entirely disappointed if they do not let us fight the Clans to change the timeline.

That's the hope! We Rasalhaguians will fight fairly hard, and hope to do our best to hold back the clans.

To a degree, yeah. I'm assuming they mean techs will show up when they're supposed to, the civil war will happen when the date comes, etc.

But we're already going to change the game by merely having planets that can be captured. The starmap won't be 100% accurate. Allowing FRR to stay in the game and fight to take back the majority of it's territory - instead of just automatically being reset to two systems one day - would be a very positive thing.

We do take back our territory when WE absorb the Ghost Bear Clan and ALLOW them into our beloved Republic.

From what i understand they are actually a very largely populated forum of some kind.. they came over in huge numbers to EVE and took over a large part of nullspace.

If SA invade this game, due to it's nature, I don't expect them to be some kind of uber force. They will bring numbers and some coordination and that's really it.

That's fine and all but I have friends that are Goons and I've been in a few games with them. Experience talking.

I am a fan of my Viking ancestry, so I will fight the filthy Clanners to the last mech. Down with Ghost Bear and down with the Clans!

Edit: I just saw some stuff about Goons above, as I am a member of the SA community, I am still going to try my hardest to keep the FRR in the forefront of IS politics. I just wish we could alter the "canon" timeline and repel the stupid clans comepletely. In short, I would be more than happy to avoid the entire stupid clan invasion nonsense comepletely. Madcat? Timber Wolf? Bahhhhhhhh!!!!! Say hello to my Zeus you ********!

With what we know about community warfare you're probably right, there most likely won't be any superpowers or anything of the sort. Not to mention we'll probably be spread out a bit more since some goons are reviving old multiplayer groups from previous games and some have a soft spot for other factions. The Free Rasalhague Republic being the front line for the Invasion I am sure a good number of us will be converging in and around that area when the time comes, if we aren't in the area already.

Can't speak for how unsavory we'll be but this is going to be a Free to Play game with community warfare. I imagine the community as a whole will drum up its share of drama based on in-game events and battles, because that's just the nature of the beast. So...we'll probably be at least mildly unsavory?

Anyway, voted Republic.

Goons don't bother me in the least, but I know how they make other people feel. I personally, would welcome you guys in the fight for Rasalhague.

Besides, the more people in MWO, the better.

Hrmm. Some members of the Combine may balk at the idea, but the fact remains the Coordinator has decreed that the former District of Rasalhague be given its freedom to do with as it pleases. This being so I shall stand with them against the clan incursion whether they want it or not when and if duty to the Combine and the Coordinator demands it of me. If the day comes that the Coordinator once more decrees that the former District of Rasalhague be returned to the embrace of the Dragon then it shall be so.

Defiance of the Coordinator's command on the subject of the former District of Rasalhague is disloyal and unbecoming of any true warrior of the Draconis Combine. It is our duty and our privilege to obey, and failing that it is our duty and our privilege to die as an example to all others who would defy or fail their lord.

I'm in shock, and it almost makes me feel bad about my rabid hatred of all things Kurita!

Stop being the bigger man Steinar, it makes me want to demolish you less! :D

What can I say? You're a nice, little bufferzone between us and the Lyran half of the FedCom, making it less likely we have to fight on two fronts at the same time when those FedRats get uppity. Besides, maybe I have at least a _little_ bit of sympathy for you guys given my own blood is as Norwegian as any Rasalhagian's. Not every Kuritan is of Japanese descent you know. Some of us are as redbearded and paleskinned as any of you despite our allegiance to the throne on Luthien.

That said, if the order comes to bring you back in the fold then you'll be swearing allegiance to the Coordinator while my Phoenix Hawk holds you at gunpoiint (lordy, I do hope the PHawk will be available in the game eventually). You'll probably get over those feelings of wanting to demolish me less at that point. :)

I do indeed from time to time enjoy the occasional alien overlord, yes.
