Okay, Beta's in 5 days. Fantastic.

But I was looking at what's been released so far and I think my first mech will be a Raven. Why? Well, it's an excellent scout mech, and plus thanks to MechCommander, I have a greater respect for the Raven.
(see below)

Awesomeness aside, I am worried my Raven will end up like Hardcase 98% of the time. I am not used to piloting non-clan mechs.

Just to let you know.. the beta is not starting in 5 days..

August 7th is the official "Founders Injection", which is when the founders were originally going to have guaranteed access but now is just the day that they will gain access to their Founder Mechs. This is still Closed Beta.

"End of Summer 2012" is the Open Beta.

awesome was number 9 raven is number 10 so probably.

And ravens ARE awesome. the design from this game is a little far fetched from the commonly seen raven design though

This is why I have a lot of respect for the vulture. and it looks sick

sad to say... but, other than the raven, stilleto (blown up inside the hanger), and the Uziel (which i don't truely classify as cannon).. all other mechs (shadow cat, Mad Dog, Nova Cat, Cougar)... they are all CLAN mechs.. and should not be, 1-in that intro (just one of many screw-ups in timeline that Micro$oft made), 2-won't be in MWO for at least a year post-launch. As stated many times, Clans make full on invasion somewhere around the March time. As for the OPs thoughts on the Raven, i, too, look forward to seeing it in game. would love to see how it plays a tactical role in the scouting sense. I last played a raven from MPBT:3025, RVN-4X1.. i think it was... someone please correct me on it's designation if i'm wrong.

Mayhaps the Clans will attack next march and leave us to pick through the various pieces to try to make our own unique anti clan mechs....
Anyone here a Tech-mech?
i have some C-bills for ya!
