Is there any other assault class that can mount 3x Gauss rifles? my lore is bad and I couldn't find anything on sarna....

There are loads of laser/missile assault boats but why are ballistic ones so rare?

You need more google fu ;)

Thunderhawk = 3 Gauss rifles

Notable mentions.
Nightstar = 2x Gauss 1x ERPPC
Devastator = 2x Gauss 2x PPC
Pillager = 2x Gauss 1x Large laser but comes with jumpjets !

Hm, so only the Thunder hawk and the Annihilator can mount 3x Gauss?

And they are both unavailable in 3050 ;)

I'm beginning to think my dream ballistic boat won't happen anytime soon.

If you have the C-bills and an Altas you could maybe make something like the Annihilator in MWO mechlab and take it into battle. Might could try making these others too.
  • Thunderhawk = 3 Gauss rifles
  • Nightstar = 2x Gauss 1x ERPPC
  • Devastator = 2x Gauss 2x PPC

I might try putting 2 PPCs in my Atlas and keep the LRM20 and 4 med lasers. IMHO the atlas is better at being a long ranged fighter since it is sooooo slow.

12.5t of armour on a 100t mech that moves at 2/3 and has a primarily ballistic arsenal with no CASE?

Enjoy your ammo exploding!

It's a clan mech. If they stick to canon history (as they've said they'll do many many many times), it'll be quite a while before you even face one, let alone have any chance of driving one.

But clan mechs are coming. They've said that too.

technically its a wolfs dragoon mech just like the imp so maybe we will have it

If they stick to Canon, the Dragoons fielded 4-5 of them in 3030-3040 The original 3050TRO had the Annihilator (Star League era weapons) in it. You would need to be a Dragoon to pilot one and it would probably cost you!

Yeah, the Annihilator is actually a pre-Clan design that uses Star League-era tech.

I'd actually like to eventually see them out there, but first, there are many others I'd like to see first.

Clan tech you have to wait for the invasion...

Good time to read Wolf’s Dragoons novel. It's a good read. I believe Wolf did not use much clan tech until the clans attack intershere (they have stock piles of clan tech). But, it has been 15 years since I read the novel.

They also built clan production facilities on Outreach AND Clan Eugenics. It's how Phelan Kell was born. By technicality Phelan is a trueborn warrior.

His Mom and Dad came to Jamie Wolf by invitation because he an she could not conceive. Natasha thought it was a bad idea at the time!

to people who scream "lol its a clan mech" yes and no.
Clans made the mech Yes, but is it only held by clans? No, it is currently in the innersphere, but it is also exclusively held by the wolfs dragoons, and only surfaces once the clans invade.
