Hello everyone! I have been a long Battletech fan since my tabletop days and played all the Mechwarrior series.

I have signed up for the beta and I am looking to purchase either Elite or legendary. I have a few questions for anyone that may know the answers....

1. If I sign up Elite and choose my one founder mech, will I still have a chance to get the other 3 Founder mechs at a later time?

2. Besides the combat is there goals for factions? Taking over other factions planets? Gaining assets?

3. Are there Merc's or can I be a Merc?

If there is a post that details this I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

1 yes..... they have extended the founders packs so even if you pick up elite now you may still have a chance to get the other three later if you upgrade.

2. There are factions tho right now they don't really matter, but they will...there is a very rich enviroment planned for households and conquest and such.

3. there will be alot of mercs......tho not real sure how this will work, i know there will be contracts for missions and such but i'm still confused

1. No. The only way to obtain "Founder's Mechs" is through this promotion. You can upgrade to Legendary to get them, during this limited window, but they are not able to be aquired through any "in-game" method.

2. We have no real idea, as the community warfare section won't be released until at least 90days into open beta(soonest) or more likely sometime after actual "Launch".

3. Mercenary companies are this game's equivalent of guilds, or at least one type of such... so sure.

1. You can get a regular Jenner, Hunchback, Catapult, or Atlas later. you can't get the special founders version except the ones included in Elite/Legendary status. The founder versions are functionally identical to the Prime variants of the above mechs (except for custom paint and bonus c-bill earning boost)

This is part of community warfare. community warfare will not be added until after launch.

3. Are there Merc's or can I be a Merc?
We don't know if there will be any in-game organization system before community warfare pillar is added or not; If not, you can still form groups outside the game and play together.
