Medium= Uziel
Heavy= Catapult/Mad Dog
Assault= Atlas.
I may seem like a typical n00b but if all of these will be available in-game you best believe I will utilize them all in their appropriate roles on the battlefield.

Trolling aside, I am extremely partial to the Crab CRB-27sl and the Awesome AWS -9Q.
In addition, the Loki Prime is the bee's knees

Medium: Uziel (always loved this 'Mech)
Heavy: Nova Cat (Over heating like crazy!)
Assault: Annihilator (being able to have four Gauss' is a little hard to beat)
Very effective custom builds for all of these 'Mechs.

The Dasher nothing can catch it much less land a hit on it.
The Puma nasty punch for a light mech and is easy to hide .
The Urbanmech oh so versatile and cheap.
The Raven more electronics than a super computer and is as hard to detect as a stealth fighter.
The Catapult will that be one lump of lrms to the cockpit or two?
And lastly the Fafnir it may be big and slow but it is nearly indestructible and has incredible firepower.

I know the Hellspawn is a sub-optimal design but I remove the LRM 10s for a single 15 or three 5s and change the armor to Light Ferro Fibrous I save enough weight that I can add another 2 tons and max the armor while still having the weight and crit space for enough LRM ammo to keep it in the fight for a long time (2-3 tons). Even if you use the pulse lasers or replace them with ER ones instead the 'mech can't overheat even if it alpha strikes while jump jetting and moving full speed ahead. That build changes the spawn into a great heavy scout and harrasser.
I don't change a damn thing on the Battlemaster, I find all its variants to be great but I prefer the standard 6mls and srm6 - it is a SICK inside fighter.
