..asssuming you ARE listeing to somthing!

I'm finding Industrial/Noise suits it pretty well (especially in a heavy Mech), although Tech House can do the job too.
DubStep is definitely out.

Bumping this down to Off Topic. If you type "music" into the search box, you'll find numerous suggestions for music while playing.

I generally go with Papa Roach. Ever since hearing "Getting away with murder" as the boss fight music in the Mechassault games (and yes I am aware that those games are far from cannon, but they helped fill a MW void in my life for many years.) I find that band synonymous with a large scale mech battle.

If your listening to music, you can't hear the steps of that atlas approaching......

No music... It would interfere with the sound effect pumped through twin-18's, Polk Audio studio monitors and 2000 watts that shake my house like a real mech would.

A lot of Rock, Hip-Hop, Mashups and metal, a lot of it Australian, but not all by any means.

Examples -

And a lot of Australians will know the proper response when I say after every Atlas downed, "Am I ever gonna see your face again?"

Many different things - music loop from Atlas trailer, Batman soundtrack, ROCK soundtrack, some Top Gun songs....

...but this is my favorite for MWO (and Steiners should accept this as their hymn ).

Simply something like my mech... Heavy... And Metal...

Or Heavy Rock'n Roll. Actual Tech or Dubstep don't fit with the spirit of the 80' battletech.

Actually... Listen to this piloting my Heavy Class :

it would be NIN, if any.

But for tactical reasons and because I'm always on TS with at least one other pilot - none. God forbid being in a chan with four. Good times, but music wouldn't work then.
