Sadly no I wasnt playing when Slivers were implemented. But looking over them they look like a tribal players dream!
My early experiences go from Alpha to up to Antiquities? or Arabian Knights, some of those real real early sets.

I'm constantly getting in and out of magic every 5-10 years or so. I just started up again last year when M12 released.
I'm a casual player and prefer to play with and against Standard tournament format decks (mostly due to game balance), in straight duels, or some multiplayer formats.
I prefer blue decks either mono or as combo with any other color, but can play anything in a pinch.
