Doublepost to answer Bagheera...

No problem with the coms. At the worst I will set something up. In my boring, non-mech related other life, I run the internet side of a rural ISP. Servers and bandwidth are not a issue.

Throw us some friend requests and, if you have a mic, stop by the FRR TS server room Rasgueados. All that embrace slaughtering the enemy as a team are welcome.

Loud and clear Wooj, while we have grouped up here we won't necessarily be together on the battlefield. It's kind of like basic training in Starship Troopers, the Roughnecks trained together and learned how to work as a team with anyone and would cross paths on the battlefield and dropships.

I searched around our boards for info (stunbled across some great posts from yourself and Bagheera) and can give only a few links that offer some insight to the manner in which the FRR will be organized Dihm has some great info here. This opens up the possibility of creating a sub-faction to a cannon unit, just an idea OR we could start our own Merc unit but I think that's a bit ambitions as of now. Dihm is a goldmine of info, This gets into the faction vs merc XP and advancement and how it will play out in the greater theater of war. Finally I think this thread gives some great insight (where I ran across your posts)

Whatever we may choose to do I second the idea that we should have a great name for our own band of drunken fools that insist on fighting a war that has already had the ending written. That link of Swedish words and phrases had me rolling, the wife loved the SLUTSPURT photo Posted Image

but yeah it may end poorly. Great to say when drunk though! Pronouncing Farthinders as an unskilled barbarian I lean towards "FART-hinders", as in, a fart that makes you stop walking and concentrate on the task of farting or.... a fart that hinders conversations by creating a bubble of silence & doom.

I vote for Farthinder, it's appropriate for any mech light or heavy and style of play. Point is we will put the breaks on anyone that opposes the Free Rasalhague Republic on the battlefield.

How did our commander die? I heard he had a blood alcohol level so high that when his Mech overheated, his cockpit burst into flames from his breath. There are rumors that it wasn't his breath that was combustible but in actually......his farts.

I clicked "like" not because of your statement that your non-mech life is boring but the fact that you are ready and willing to set-up a communication server. You, Comm Specialist Wooj, are our Hannibal, ready with the plan.

Hopefully it won't come to that but it's comforting to know it's there, kinda like the concept of the Trivselbit from the post you made earlier.

Love the idea of some sort of unofficial naming, but as the devs flesh out more of the Faction unit info and more ppl are in game I'm hoping our little thread starts to expand in size.

We could have the Fathinder lance, the Slutspurt lance, and so on.

Nice work on the links Tribe, should be helpful for inbound folks!

Welcome, Max. Hope to see you in game soon.

Here is my attempt at a unit insignia for us. Note my *cough, cough* mad GIMP/Photoshop skillz:

Hey, TRiBE... Why don't you go back and edit your first post on this thread to include everyone's name so far. That way when someone goes to friend everyone in the group they can find it all at one spot. So far I think it is:

Bagheera

Company Man

Dayuhan

Max Rebar

Odin Einarsson

Rasgueados

iiiTRiBEiii

Wooj

Of course, in doing so (much like you just made me the 'official' Comms Specialist) you would now be our HR manager, and have to keep the list up to date...

Hilarious we randomly ran into each other earlier TRiBE! Time to get some work done though, had to run just as I saw a group invite.

Thanks guys. Just wanted to know is FFR under the MWO official beta server? cause I looked but didn't find it (I am new to ts) and I just wanted to notify everyone that I am currently having problems hearing anyone on ts, I am trying to fix it.

Also, My good mic died recently and I did not buy a new one (been very busy lately), so I am using a not-so-good old one temporarily, but will buy a quality one soon.

Thanks again.

P.S just tell me the time everyone's mostly comfortable with.

You can find Free Rasalhague Republic in the last slot on the list of houses on the MWO Beta server. There is a post with the connection info earlier here as well as a nice deal on a killer headset/mic *wink* from newegg.

As far as times, it seems random. Going with the buckshot option, the more members we have the more chances to play with FRR members/friends/each other

Bagheera, what are the chances?! Not too shabby apparently. Look for you again ;-)

Wooj, good idea. Your drawing of the Atlas squashing a Jenner gets the point across with a great bluntness that only an Atlas foot can convey. Nice nice....On the list idea, good thinking, I'll get on that.

I'm really hoping to see in-game voice support though. While TeamsSpeak thing is another Farthinder in the process.....

Ran into Bagheera tonight, and managed to get a few rounds in with TS. It definitely makes a big difference to be able to coordinate like that. Not sure if I'll be getting on in the next couple of days, but I'll definitely be on TS whenever I do, and I recommend you all get it if you've got a headset.

Company Man, saw you on tonight but didn't get any response to chats or group requests. If you can get TS, definitely do it, and then it'll at least be obvious if any of us are trying to group up with you.

Apparently I get around. :P

We got in a nice set of rounds there Odin.

Something as simple as 2 folks being able to quickly decide on a target makes a significant difference. Looking forward to more grouping!

hi, time zone shmime zone, i love BT but they are on the way down atm no content no motivation on good locking battle s like 1000 others in the field, why the f no company gets it, content content content, its the only way to make a difference , i am full of all this good looking battle only games , who flood the market and if u look to nice MWO beta start.

PS: (i want real missions not only 15 min sh.t, scout missions where later on after u have done ur scout stuff the rest of the group have to attack, hold, secure, reach or what ever, nps like armed convoys enm nps fortress whis turrets missile silos who start firing at u till u secure the area, maps and missions where u need jump jets etc etc etc .. :P

regards Dantioch

Dantioch, while I agree with what you are saying, I'm not sure you meant to post your opinions here. You may want to post these suggestions on a Developers Corner forums page.

As HR mngr (thanks Wooj, now I get to be the bad guy and make all the sh!tty decisions jk _ jk ), I'm not sure you want to be a part of this so I'm not posting your contact info on the first page. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Great to hear that ppl are bouncing into each other. I was lucky to have a full group of 8 in TS channel Dropship 6 the other night. We really tore up the enemy, our whole team was in a communication Zen zone.

Would like to see that happen here with the Fredricsson's Farthinders, we would have a full team of 8 if all of us were on at the same time.

I think I finally puzzled out what Dantioch is saying... I hope the confusion in is writing is due to English not being a first language (It does say he is from Germany), or intoxication (which could also be due to being from Germany).

At any rate, Dantioch, remember we are just in beta now. We have not even seen much of a glimpse of what the Devs have in store for us as far as the metagame goes. Will it be everything you are asking for? Likely not... Since I can't think of any game that comes anywhere near what you seem to be describing... But I have faith that the game will be anything but boring.

I wholly agree with Dantioch. having a P v NPC storyline, mission objectives beyond the simple cap or annihilate, missions with limitations, imagine a stealth mission in a commando lance? It'd be a ton of fun! Point being....Story Story Story for continued interest.

I bet he's drunk and pissed....Octoberfest is right around the corner!

Plus how can show up to an FRR party NOT drunk?!

Fun times to be had, still don't think he posted in the right forum though. May "friend req" him for the drunken anger rants anyways!

Awesome, more new faces. Welcome, to the both of you! Two more and we will have a Company.

*Sniff, sniff* Our baby is becoming all grown up....

Anyway, a note to all of you out there, even if you don't have a Mic, have sleeping family (like me), or just don't want us to hear your nerdy, overly-nasaly voice (also like me), get TeamSpeak.

Two reasons:

1. Even if you can't talk, you can listen, and that is still a HUGE tactical advantage.
2. The channels also allow for text chat, which, while useless for in game usage, makes coordinating the group pre-launch much easier.

Last night, at various times, I saw people from our group online, but didn't have any way to say "Hey! Please come save me from these horriable PUG groups, in which half the people seem content to run, full bore, directly into the sights of the opposing teams 5 Atlases. Thanks!" Teamspeak will help fix that.

Completely off topic... Over the weekend I went to a winery/eatery for wife's birthday that is run by a immigrated Swedish couple... *Drool*. I had fish au gratin, my wife had Wienerschnitzel and caraway potatoes...

At this point, despite the fact that this is just a game, I am totally willing to kill to protect the way of life of the people who cook those kinds of food.

Well, Wienerschntizel is austrian/german.
So, you'd be fighting for Steiner? :P

I do like the heavies... But no. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schnitzel tons of countries have their own take on the dish.

Just like pasta, I don't care who came up with it first... I just want it smothered in cheese, sauce, and fed to me by the vat.
And besides, that was my wife who ate that. She can go fight for the Fisties if she wants.

PS You are somewhat right, Faenwulf, If the game was set before the formation for the FRR, I would likely be with they Lyrans.

PPS - Did you know the first 4 letters of your name gets caught by the filter? ****... ****... ****... What the heck did you do to become a bad word? Heck, even Hitler's name doesn't get filtered out...
