I find it sorta weird that there are a lot of mechwarrior related topics posted in the off-topic discussions.

Yeah, that is pretty odd. I guess it's not really a big problem, but as someone who isn't that crazy about MechWarrior, I think it'd be nice for this section to contain only posts/threads off the topic of MechWarrior... considering that seems to be the entire purpose of the section. :|

Just to give you guys a heads up.

General Mechwarrior Online Discussion is just that; discussion about THIS game; this does not include previous incarnations of the Mechwarrior property.

If/when the Devs decide to make a new section then we can migrate all that stuff over however being that this isn't a centralized library for "all things Mechwarrior" I believe that unlikely to happen. So, everything "that comes before" goes here, in OT

We don't need even more sections... talk about previous MW games fits in Off-Topic just fine.

I guess that makes sense. And though I think it would be a good idea to make a section specifically for other MW content, I'd agree that with the current amount of activity that the forum has, having more sections is a bit unnecessary.

Sure, it fits in, but it would be more convenient to have a section just for other MW games, and a section for things completely unrelated to MW in general.

What does that have to do with anything? If it was the "All MechWarrior Games Chat Forum", than other MW content could just go in General Discussion with the MWO content. But since it's not, and it is kind of inconvenient to have threads and posts for other MW games mixed with those completely unrelated to MechWarrior, for those of us who would like to have a place that doesn't include anything MW related, a section exclusively for other MW games and one exclusively for things off the topic of MW would be a good idea, and for people interested in discussing the other MW games, it would be more convenient for them as well. Having them mixed together, while it still does count as off the topic of MWO, can make it harder to look through threads and find something interesting (in my experience).

Though, again, I don't necessarily think that should be done at this point, since the off topic section gets a fairly small amount of activity as it is. However I do think it should only be considered once the forum gets more activity.
