[Anvil Dragon]

Since the Marauder is not currently available, I'll start with the Catapult (but I would like to add PPCs).
Play a support role for now and see how things develop.

The Combine has some decent mechs, I think I like the Kintaro best though.

If I had my pick of any mech the Combine produces. It would hands down be the AKU-1X Akuma.
That being said, in the current time frame its tough to say. Atm I am leaning twords a Dragon or something in the Assualt class if one of my favorites pops up....like a Hatamoto-Chi / Thug

Huh, you're right about the double inclusion - though I assure you this was not intentional. The random assignment tables are structured for the usage of dice, and some 'mechs show up multiple times. For the Marauder and the BattleMaster I simply forgot I had already written them down.

The Stinger and the UrbanMech on the other hand do not show up on the table for the DCMS. They are mentioned for some of the other factions, though. Could it be that in the Combine they were simply phased out and replaced by newer models?

Or that they are otherwise just very uncommon within the ranks of the DCMS - from my understanding, the tables are meant to reflect standard battle formations, yet the RPG notes that characters may well attain or even start with 'mechs from another faction. If MWO introduces the Raven, I'm considering piloting that one with the explanation that it was liberated from the Federated Suns, just like Davion captured them from Liao. Basically a third-hand battlemech.

The Stinger would be correct for DCMS as the only surviving LAM factory, producing Stingers was in the Combine until it was lost during the Clanner invasion. That's one of the two things I didn't like when the clans showed up, the other being the nerfing of aerospace fighters.

Medium: Assuming no "Phoenix" mechs, Wolf Trap or Hunchback? Dunno.
Heavy: If no Marauder then I might play a Catapult. We'll see.
Assault: Hatamoto-(all variants). Not convinced about the Mauler, the weapon layout annoys me & the armour's too thin. Highlander, Atlas or Katana I guess.
