So Commando (25), Jenner (35), Centurion & Hunchback (both 50), Dragon (60), Catapult (65), and Atlas (100), right?
Seems to me we have some conspicuous gaps in the 40-45 ton range, and in the 70-85 ton range. Given that we've got two of everything else, I agree that it's probably time for a second Assault, but I also wouldn't mind seeing a top-end (70 or 75 ton) Heavy. Having seen FD's "quick" reimagining of the Marauder, I think it would slot nicely into the gap. In terms of other "iconic" 3050 'mechs in the right tonnage range for that, we've got the Warhammer (of course) and the Flashman, both of which would also fill the energy-boat niche we rather lack at the moment. The Orion could also fit, I suppose, though I'd rather see one of the previous three. I'm not sure if you'd call the Black Knight all that iconic, but it would also fit.
Bumping up into the Assault classes, whoo boy... talk about options. At 80 tons we see the Awesome, Charger, Thug, Victor and Zeus, all of which are instantly recognizable classics (I'm rather partial to the Victor and Zeus myself). 85 is kind of a dead zone unless you count the Battlemaster. Hit 90, though, and get a nice pair of magnificently murderous magnates of mainline mutilation: the Cyclops and the mighty Highlander.
Frankly, I'm hoping most of all for the Highlander, just for sheer Cool Factor. It's already a spectacular design, and letting FD have his way with it would only make it MORE spectacular.
Actually, it'd be kinda cool 2 see the Charger. I know its not very popular because of its mere 5 small lasers, but its so cool looking! X) Imagine what the artists from MechWarrior Online could do with it! Oh my GOODNESS...........=) Now the SA5 would be a GREAT start........=)
