Its currently 2 lights 2 mediums 1 heavy and 2 assaults ATM right?

1 Assault, Catapult is a heavy a long with the Dragon. Atlas is the only current Assault reveal.

So, I'm guessing another Assault reveal...which leaves the Awesome as a highly likely candidate.

stalker or awesome

Most likely an assault and probably the awesome to get a fwl mech in, since all other houses are now represented (with LC having the lightest mech yet....haha). Stalker was universally used by all houses, plus FD has already done drawings on it and seems to have soft spot for it...so its a good contender. Maybe Victor and maybe a larger heavy. Orion is really the top of the list for that, unless they re-reseen some mechs....which they will probably hold back for a bit.

I definately want it to be the battlemaster. I would also like to see the awseome just so it stops getting posted every 5 seconds.

So Commando (25), Jenner (35), Centurion & Hunchback (both 50), Dragon (60), Catapult (65), and Atlas (100), right?

Seems to me we have some conspicuous gaps in the 40-45 ton range, and in the 70-85 ton range. Given that we've got two of everything else, I agree that it's probably time for a second Assault, but I also wouldn't mind seeing a top-end (70 or 75 ton) Heavy. Having seen FD's "quick" reimagining of the Marauder, I think it would slot nicely into the gap. In terms of other "iconic" 3050 'mechs in the right tonnage range for that, we've got the Warhammer (of course) and the Flashman, both of which would also fill the energy-boat niche we rather lack at the moment. The Orion could also fit, I suppose, though I'd rather see one of the previous three. I'm not sure if you'd call the Black Knight all that iconic, but it would also fit.

Bumping up into the Assault classes, whoo boy... talk about options. At 80 tons we see the Awesome, Charger, Thug, Victor and Zeus, all of which are instantly recognizable classics (I'm rather partial to the Victor and Zeus myself). 85 is kind of a dead zone unless you count the Battlemaster. Hit 90, though, and get a nice pair of magnificently murderous magnates of mainline mutilation: the Cyclops and the mighty Highlander.

Frankly, I'm hoping most of all for the Highlander, just for sheer Cool Factor. It's already a spectacular design, and letting FD have his way with it would only make it MORE spectacular.

Actually, it'd be kinda cool 2 see the Charger. I know its not very popular because of its mere 5 small lasers, but its so cool looking! X) Imagine what the artists from MechWarrior Online could do with it! Oh my GOODNESS...........=) Now the SA5 would be a GREAT start........=)

Actually the Grand Dragon was still a 60 ton mech. The difference was the replacement of the old AC/5 for a Lords Light ERPPC and the addition of a third medium laser and CASE for the LRM reloads.

I would love to see a Battlemaster or a Goliath. Sorry even though it looked like an elephant a PPC and 2x LRM 10 is a hell of a long range support machine.

I really hope it is something other than the charger. They said the game is focusing more on ranged combat than melee (melee is really all the charger is good for).

I'm pretty sure it is going to be an assault, probably towards the lighter end, and my money would be on the Awesome or Zeus. Stalker and Cyclops are other likely candidates and I really like the Highlander and Battlemaster (as far as IS assault mechs go)

i would like to see the Awesome as well, but most of all, i want a banshee. :)

2 lights, 2 mediums, 2 heavys, 1 assault... we know whats coming next. MY vote's on the cyclops, hopefully they dont use the base variant though. thats just an atlas with less armour.

Marauder is one of the Unseen so I dont think it can be in the game?

*sigh* I can still dream, can't I? Besides, have they said that they won't be able to import the Unseen in their Project Phoenix redesigns?

If not my beloved Marauder, then I have to go with the Victor. I know you guys are pulling for the Awesome, and I wouldn't be disappointed with that, but the Victor was probably my favorite pre-Clan assault mech.

I'm predicting the Orion.

Or possibly the Battlemaster.

I don't know why, but I chuckled at this.

I'm personally gunning for the Awesome myself.

Gonna be another light or medium judging from the statistical universe that is BTU. My money is on a direct fire supporter, not an LRM packing chassis. Clint, Enforcer, or maybe something with a PPC. Think ROLE warfare!

I say Awesome for the fan service, but also because its a right solid design for that tonnage. Personally, I'd prefer the Battlemaster (even the Reseen on this one is pretty swank). TONS of variants, iconic as all get-out, and a classic command Mech.

Big fan of the Highlander here. Jump capable assault mechs are simply in a class all their own. Imagine one jumping over a building in an urban environment and it's coming for you.

I like your thinking (and your rhyming). I'd be over the moon if we had a Highlander and I'd be pretty happy to see a Cyclops too. Hell, the Awesome would be great to see too, no doubt. But, my heart is still definitely with the Highlander in this case.
