Facebook Poll: Early Morning Poll - Large Lasers should be...

If you HAVE to have colors, don't break it up by weapon 'size' - that should be visibly evident by the beams. Assuming red = lasers, yellow = pulses, white = A/C tracers, and blue/purple = PPCs...
A small red beam = a SmLas.
A fat red beam = a LLas
Why make it anything more than that?

Yeah I don't get it either. Either most of the voters never played MechWarrior that much and they all went with their gut feeling, that a heavy laser should be standard red... or they all were introduced to MechWarrior with MechWarrior 3, where the heavy laser was indeed red and the small one was blue (I always hated that

Lets hope to see a Mech with a large laser soon. There have been enough with AC.

the em spectrum:(Xrays)(Heat)(colours red to blue)(Ultraviolet)(radiation)
Lasers cause damage via heat and red is the closest visible light to heat so all damage causing lasers should be red. To be truly acurate small lasers should be orange; medium lasers should be red; and large lasers should be white

I guess since MW:O is already updating all kinds of outdated stuff from the BT universe, why not the laser colors. It's not exactly like laser fiestas ever really made much sense to begin with...

Oh and I think all lasers should be the same color. It shouldnt be that easy to identify whats hitting you and really, a large laser is simply a much over powered small laser so I dont think they should be fundamentally different when it comes to colors.

As I remember it, the common Inner Sphere Large Laser had a red-colored beam in both MW3 and MW4, and I'm most used to them looking that way, even though it may not be the most correct, according to the lore.
