You dared to chance going slightly unflamed, so you asked for it. I do not want you to die by fire, just the concept of anthropomorphism pertaining to anything battletech.

Crittertek was made... it's a furry battletech spin off...

Not to mention, if I want to run a Furry version of the innersphere in my games, then damn it I will, who cares if Hanz Davion is an Anthropormophic lion? Or if Natasha Kerensky is a Wolfess? Does it REALLY change anything? They are still themselves. Just with a new body. *shrug* Or is this a "No fun allowed" Zone?

Anyway hello other furs.

weren't you banned from the forums here Fros7bite? Haven't you learned? You already drove me away from EQRG... seriously man, just stop.

I'll leave it up to the admins to decide but I dont like to visit the mwo front page and see "popular topics" Furries. Even if it is in off topic, do not put a thread like this in "popular topics" on the front page.

You are aware that, "popular topics" is simply an automated system that selects topics that have high traffic and puts them on the forfront page?

What does it matter to you anyway?

A battlemech operates under temperatures that are easily going into what's critical for humans.
Now imagine you'd sit in a mech, dressed not in shorts and shirt, but in a thick fur coat... Posted Image

This is an excellent point. A fur suit would most likely be the death of a Mechwarrior. Heat Stroke for sure...unless... you're piloting purely ballistic/missle boats. Of Course, that mech with the flammer notices you're dress like a giant chicken, he's coming after you to pour on the heat.

I think you'd need a coolant vest and long johns.

Be pretty difficult to see too. I'm guessing table top stats would be something like +5 to heat when rolling for pilot effects, -1 to concussion rolls (giant fluffy head mutes impact), maybe a +1 to hit due to huge foamy head.

[edit] Just noticed this term has multiple possible interpretations. Either dudes in suits or anthropomorphic critters.

You learn something new, every day.

I've never really worried about imagining the rest of the Battletech universe as anthro creatures because my mind always tries to add way too much logic into the process...

"FRR should be bears, caribou, and arctic foxes, but they've also been controlled by Kurita long enough there should be some dragons, certainly some kitsune crossbreeds, and some of the planets were under Steiner's banner, so there should be a few deer of whatever species is on the Jagermeister bottle..."

Back from work now, and just wondered to myself if any furry merc corp would be welcoming to me, ah well, I guess it may be a bit early for me to be worrieing though since I am unsure how often I will be able to play mostly because of my job, as well as I seem to have increased in suckitude since I played theolder 'mech games when I was a kid.

I never played any of the older ones in multi-player either, mainly because when I finally had a good connection the games were already several years old but I am willing to give my best to any corp/clan/legion band-of-brothers/rag-tag group of misfits that suits my fancy.

Also, anyone here from the 'furry' channel or tab or whatever it was in EVE online? I spent nearly a year there and was wondering if maybe I might have met some of you there.

My signature seems attracts attention of fellow furs and they keep messaging me about how good not to be alone.
I wish mech fans would be more welcoming but nya since when a community welcomed one another.

Whew... I just got though reading all 14 pages (as of now) of this thread and it was hard to sit through it... All the arguing near the middle and beginning there made me wonder if it was gonna stop. At least it has, very nice to see this thread up and running. *waves his winged paw at everyone*

*EDIT* Wow... and of course as soon as I say 14 pages, MY post makes it 15. *facedesks at his own fail*

I am unsure of its usefulness, but I have been using a name for some time for most things involving a group of furries doing the merc type thing, I use it in armored core v and am planing on using it in something else like a comic (if I get off my lazy butt and draw it lol) but here goes... Fuzzy Logic, I'm sure its been used by others but I like it and it fits, there was another one I used once too but can't remember it, Dog's of War would work too but a bit specific.

Hey if there is gonna be a furry merc company sign me up! :3

Glad to see there is a furry thread left standing. Ofcourse I won't be revealing my furry identity here, that would be a task left to PM's!

Now furries in the battletek universe.. makes me think of a similar topic on the Dawn of War2 forums. Furries in the Warhammer40k universe.. I rate it could work. Although mech's would probably be designed a little differently. Also no doubt some cultures would be entirely to certain species; (Dragons/scalies etc) In which case there would be some pretty interesting mech designs!
