This site really is a dream come true. I am an old vet. I have played every mech game from the start. Used to run the original MechWarrior out of Dos-Shell. STILL have the game! Along with Cresent Haws Revenge and Cresent Haws Inception! Good to know there are others out there!

Been playing for about 20 or 25 years now with the TT and all the mechwarrior games. Nice to know that being 38 puts me in the younger generation for once :)

I've been gaming since Battletech came out and then when I built my first gaming pc rig. Remember Genie online service, they hosted the first online battle tech game. That was the best back in the day lol. I used to command the 17th Avalon Hussars and before that was the XO of the 20th Avalon Hussar. I played it so much that I had to get a second phone line lol.

Cheers to the Vets! I'm 42, and I started out with Citytech. Glad there are a few of us kicking around.

I started reading Battletech novels in the early '90s, (my college years) and started playing Mechwarrior games in '96. I guess that qualifies me as an "old" vet!

Will be 55 on the 4th of April, but can't claim to be a "vet", exactly. Had all the old boardgames, a lot of miniatures, as well as some of the PC games, but was only ever an intermittent player.

Nice to see so many "old" guys, though, vets or not! :)

38 also we should get a clan/division called the Old timers :D over 35s only (heck then I could be nicknamed the rookie :D )

Yeah got the core rules in 88 and played for years also the RPG.
I think its a great shame that kids nowadays have missed out on the tabletop games, I do plan to introduce them to my 2 kids when a little older.

I'm only 32, but have been playing since Crescent Hawks Inception on the C64, computer game-wise that is. Started TT before that, with the OLD 3025 handbook (featuring Stinger, Wasp and Phoenix Hawk LAMs). Glad to see I'm in good company here.

36 here, started playing with the orignal battletech boxset (not quite battledroids) in a friends basement during 1986 I think (26 years and counting). Have been hooked ever since and have boxes of books; novels, source, TRO's etc and minis spread throughout my life... looking forward to this new installment!

Only 29, but I've been playing for nigh on 19 years. I'm also already crotchety as heck. I most remember playing MW2 on my old NEC desktop and thinking it was so realistic.
