According to the search function, Eaglesham is mentioned exactly once in the thread prior to my post - here.

Where and by whom was it "said" that Eaglesham was/is "a planet of importance"?
And why is it important?

One of the Devs may have been on vacation in the real Eaglesham. "Lousy food, terrible beer... this place has to be wiped out!" :D

remember how the old fluff for the original atlas art had the lrm 20 firing out of 5 tubes rly rly fast?

similar thing.

having an lrm 20 split into a location where it technically doesn't belong had the potential to cause some problems.

Flying Debris (in this very thread) said it was because splitting the launcher between 2 torsos would cause problems. The original loadouts had the launcher in a single torso (of course. I don't think you could even split launchers like that). In addition, in one of the TROs, it is mentioned that there the Atlas mounts an 5 tube LRM that fires 4 missiles in quick succession for each salvo, making it an LRM 20. So now, we'll see an 10 tube LRM fire 2 missiles quickly instead.

Right, but without knowing the problems this will or might cause, I am still left wondering.

I'm okay with the 10-tube launcher firing 2 missiles out of each, but why move the LRM-10 to the shoulder when it was originally the 5-tube system on the hip? Where the (apparent) LRM-20 is located now is about where the SRM-6 should be. Where'd the SRM-6 go?

The SRM is tucked under the left arm. basically they swapped the LRM and SRM locations. For some reason there's a ton of Atlas art with the LRM-20 split between the two torsos, but no variants on Sarna that mention one that comes with two LRM-10s. It makes more sense to have the LRM on the chest IMHO; it makes indirect fire easier.

Finally it hit me like a truck: this'll gonna be the next MECHWARRIOR! I know, I know,... we're talking about nought else here, but realisation dawned watching this. Well done! Love the displacement of the cockpit and the thing itself. Again, you're braking new ground there, taking liberties - exactly what the game needs to start a fresh - exciting!

Now, tell me truly, ...what we see is the standard drop into the game right? Asking, cos I can't think of any cooler way ... imagine!

Here's to hoping they have a similiar system as Section 8. Being able to choose were to deploy on a battlefield, then being launched from a dropship at great speed, only to engage your thrusters at the last moment...

My only complaint is the mechwarrior is wearing a full body suit instead of just shorts and a coolant vest. I understand why they went that route but still I'm a bit disappointed.

Guys in this community really need to grow up out of fantasyland. Can't count how many times the MechWarrior Diehards have been letdown; 12+ years? The trailer was nothing impressive. No ingame footage whatsoever. Sorry

Not overly impressed with the video. I watched it three times, and other than the little tidbits about what voice they are using and a quick glimpse of some other mechs, there is nothing new. And for being "in-game footage", there sure was not much "game". I know it's early, and there is still so much to see, but I ain't even half excited over this footage.
