You guys area all nuts very passionate fans! Don't worry it's just an anomaly for the video due to time constraints.

I'm expecting computer voices to show up in the cash shop anyway, or if not for people to mod them in so I'm sure we could have our mech talking like Glados if we wanted.

It cannot be overstated the importance of that sentence.
Wherever you are, whenever you are if you are a mechwarrior the last thing you hear, your rallying cry to the fray is "All systems nominal".
It is a binding experience and that's why it is so important.

Iron Wardog and Bryan himself stated that it will be changed and it was done due to time constraints.. What he really means is Paul bribed him with a deal that he would TK Russ in the next playtest. (Sorry Russ, I should not have let you know... but the trailer is out, so no worry... aside from Paul's PPC 'BOOM' again >.>
Paul will go to any lengths to troll us it seems. :D

I wonder who's responsible for it. I mean, when Matt (not sure if it was him) mentioned non-existent version of Hunchback, he ended in the corner on sedatives. Let's hope it was Paul's idea.

I like the "online" version, but I'm not a veteran by far, so they should fix it. ;)

"All Systems Nominal" is the mechwarrior's "Hooah!".

Thank you, Bryan!

Betty and me... we have a long... albeit somewhat passive-agressive relationship... but in the end... she's the reason I flip the switch and power up that reactor in the morning... well that and those Solaris 7 gambling debts... but that's another story.

Do you know how devastating it was when she goes through all the routine checks, making us relive all those beautiful memories, getting all hopeful after 12 long years yet when she gets to all systems part, said online instead of nominal?

Have you any idea how it felt? I don't know how to say it but it...hurts. Its there but not there. Its a deep kind of pain, one htat bores into your soul.

...the only way i can truly describe it, it almost feel like being blue-balled.

Stop the pain, PGI. End this madness.

aside from the devs already stating this is a fix issue
i dont really care
bettys voice was so perfect i dont care what she tells me, its so good for a moment i was 10 years old again
id listen to her all day and they got her so spot on i suspect time machine involvement....or rehiring of the same actress
but time machine is much more plausible ;)

funny thing is
iv read every comment about this trailer
and this is what people are upset about

its one word
and its their worst offense (fact by community majority not my opinion)

you all need to take a moment and reflect on that

...when you're starting back up from a heat-shutdown or something of the sort, I've always figured that you are basically just coming out of a stand-by mode - the 'Mech's reactor and basic systems were still running, just locked up so that things could cool down ASAP....

That's what I thought too but after thinking it through... what is a standby mode if the reactor is online and the cooling system is online? If only your weapons are offline it shouldn't need a shutdown. No the reactor is the main source of heat within the 'Mech and if everything is saturated with heat then the two systems are fighting each other, you need to shut down the hottest component. But then realistically you would have the cooling system still running on reserve battery power so that it can do it's job of reducing the heat levels without fighting the heat output of the reactor. This would be reducing the heat "ASAP".

At that point, you might as well leave communications and all your instrumentation online in the cockpit as well since they do not produce heat or reduce the 'Mechs ability to cool down.

Yes / no?

Reactors: Online.... And you are fat!
Sensors:Online..... And you are adopted and that's horrible!
Weapons:Online...... And I hate you!
All Systems:Nominal.....And you are a horrbile person!((You monster works just as well))

Yeah, on a second thought I don't want a computer that wants to kill me badly and might somehow flood my cockpit with deadly neurotoxin.

PS: Even if those insults are one of the most creative insults that I heard from any villain.

I know, all too well, how deeply criticism of a personal work cuts deep. I hope you and the crew (minus Paul) realize that the few nitpicks here and there are like a small scuff on the 100T Assault Mech that this trailer is. It's kind of like product support; few people contact a MFG to tell them how great the product is, but the moment they have a problem with it, they go to town.

A lot of us here take the time to say Kudos on the excellent work PGI has put forth (again, minus Paul). Stellar work; I haven't drooled like this since I saw that cute blonde at work with her real nice [radio edit] that'd make ya tilt your head over and say [RADIO EDIT!!!]..

OK...Brian addressed this issue.

Closing thread.

as a dead horse should be buried, and not beaten. That is just WRONG!
