Heres some sweet screenies and thier Face book page has some addtional shots. Overall the game looks nice but seems to have a lack of mechas at this point.

Not muchh else on the rest of the mechanics of the game.

We don't want stupid anime Mecha, we want BattleMechs.

As others have said, I'm keeping an eye on it. I've avoided MMO's until now, but between MWO, Tactics, GW2, and (apparently) Transformers Universe, that streak is coming to an end.

I am very excited for MechWarror Tactics. MechWarrior:Tactics for the win! I heard it is going to be on the Iphone and just mobile devices. Has this been confirmed or is this another rumor?

That would be MechWarrior: Tactical Command, and it will be for iOS and Android from what I know.

MechWarrior: Tactics is going to be a web based game.

I will be giving MW: Tactics a try, but I think I will lean more to playing MW:O more.

Mechwarrior: Tactics looks like it has great potential for peeps who like the board game. I can totally see myself on a rainy day kicking back and running a turn-based game of BT over the internet, especially if I can get a game going with a friend or two out of Province!

I am!!!!

I've never had the opportunity nor luxury to be involved with the table top BT. While I don't expect MWT will be a faithful translation of the TT, I'm just happy to at least have a glimpse of how it might've been.

Im a bit sceptical about that game.
Was reading their forums the other week. Specifically one of those "ask the devs" posts. One person in particular asked more or less if the game is going to have all the options and being a good reflection of the table top, to what the dev answered that already existed Megamek for that purpose. Their goal was "to keep the loyal tt fans happy but also attract a new generation of fans".
Those are not the exact words, but thats more or less what they said.
The game looks interesting but the 3d models ive seen so far dont look really good (for me at least). And I doubt they will give you all the mechs, air fighters, aerospace, vehicles and infantry options from tt. That would be way too good to be true.
Give me a 2d isometrical (a la mechcommander 1) turn based table top version with all mechs vehicles etc, and a powerful campaign editor to give us the chance to adapt all the table top book scenarios and im sold.

So it's going to be hex movement and turn based... but they're leaving the majority of tabletop carryover (rules, fluff, and toys by the sound of it) to MegaMek? I'm a bit puzzled as to who they're trying to attract then. Or are they just wording it so they don't sound like they're making a MegaMek clone?

MegaMek has an isometric view in their current development build. Preview's on their screenshot page.

Looks interesting, hopefully a better more "intelligent" version of MechCommander? (By intelligent, I mean your bot lancemates being more prone to actually follow the orders given,)

I don[t think it will replace the TT game though. Too many old farts like me value the tactile sense and gathering with other fellow game geeks to stop playing. Plus the fun of collecting, painting and such your own army. 3D tangible stuff you can play even when there is a power outage will always trump computer games for me.
