Going with Champion just because I used it in MW3. I never was terribly pleased with its initial loadout, though. May have to tweak it some in the MechLab (if it makes it in).

I think it's pretty clear the 'base variant' would be, the, uh base variant. Prime, if you will.

Lancelot is the best.... It can move very well, has no Ammo, and absorbs the heat of the three primary weapons with 13 double heatsinks for 26 heat... i like that

I would like to see FD redesign the Quickdraw and the Lancelot but my votes with the Merlin

Garth, some of the base variants changed over time as in 3025 or 3039 or 3050

unless you mean we get the original starleague base variants with endo, er and gauss then I am all for it, but other wise give us a break and actually tell us what we are voting for by naming the variant. Cause some of the base variants of the poll listed mechs are junk originally and some of the mechs listed above were lost or forgotten mechs that came back into canon because of timeline etc

just whining for some more info

also I doubt there will be double heat sinks yet, just saying, but perhaps some of the higher level unlocks for variants will eventually put in the lostech refound during the years 3039 to 3049.

Champion, out of question. We still don't have any weird-looking mech, so we need crab, champion, stalker or marauder.

I like the Champion and Lancelot. The Champion only because of its -1Nb variant with the Gauss Rifle and PPC, and the Lancelot as a quick-moving harasser.
