was just watching some videos of shodan from system shock 2 and was thinking of how great it would be to have her as your mech computer. Any other AI's anyone would want?

hehe, I think my first modem was a 2400 baud modem. Back in the old BBS days. What was that game I used to play... Trade Wars maybe? something like that. Man I would log in at 11;30 and do a set of turns then log back in at 12:30 for 2 days in a row worth of turns.

Trade Wars! Wow, you just brought me way back into my past!

My first modem was 300 baud on my Commodore 64. Good times. #nostalgia

I can't even remember what my first system was. I had AOL and a phone modem that took forever to get online. It was about '96. I had MechWarrior 2 at the time as well. My wife had a Commodore 64 when we started dating in '91. To think before that time I never had a cell phone or a home computer!

Haven't really tinkered much with 3D... I'm perfectly ok with my HD though :) 60" Sony that is crystal clear

Can't wait to start the MWO training process. Think BWC is tough now, wait until we bring up our game.

Did any of you get to experience the Mech Warrior Virtual Reality setup at the Chicago Museum of Science?

I guess my memory was off. It was Minneapolis, not Chicago.

Here's a Wiki link to the Battle Tech Centers http://en.wikipedia....tleTech_Centers

Did you see the footnote that there are 42 cockpits in private hands?

I can't wait to see the re-vamped training program Guido. Let me know if I can help with it.

Are you guys talking about posts in our thread? Or other merc unit recruiting threads that get deleted?

I have a projector 1165X768?, but it is not fine enough grain to play on. Great for movies, but not for computer work. Still, watching films on 10' diagonals is nice.

I also got myself a projector. Was really good or working on the road, turning the entire wall at the foot of the bed into a TV. Definitely not the quality of an HD TV though.

Entire recruiting threads deleted, there was one just a couple below BWC thread here. Could be like Rhyshaelkan said, they had some NDA breaches posted. Or not, who knows.

$250 a bulb? I'd rather not have an issue like that....

We've only been providing actual training in MW:LL so far, so it's of limited value. Bringing the training to MWO is going to be devastating for other groups.

It will be good to bring training out of MW:LL. Limited value yes, but it has provided a foundation for growth in our training program.

I'd need to buy a new joystick as the one I used for the older MW games was 10 years old or so and didn't work in Windows 7. :)

You get a lot of hours out of a single bulb usually. Not that big of an issue. Still a lot cheaper than buying a tv even if you replace a couple bulbs.

I feel so young listening to you guys talk lol. The earliest I had was dial up through a 56k modem using AOL. Starcraft didn't play well with it, but I tried anyways :D

You're lucky. We paved the way for you. :) Our overpriced crappy modems bought the research for you to enjoy that 56k modem!
