I'm mostly curious what the new 'Mech will be (if one will be announced tomorrow). 8 might be the number of 'Mechs for launch, then again, that 12 mark also seems reasonable as well. Here's hoping it'll be either the Raven or a Medium 'Mech with some speed to it.

I'm hoping it will be the Highlander and the Raven.
Yes, and.

I also put the tag on there because that's our mark, our niche, our gimmick, our thing. Everyone else has either their name or name and "recruitment post/hall/thread/office/shoebox". I want people to be able to look at the topic, without even knowing who or what the BWC is (even if they know canon lore), and see "military-style". "Veteran owned". "Veteran operated". "Not run by squeaky-voiced kiddies sucking down a Mountain Dew and cramming pizza in their face".

Good grief, I don't think I could stand someone with a squeaky voice. Like nails on chalkboard. Y'know, the kind you have to deal with on XBox Live.

Of course, non-vets (like myself!) are always welcome as well...you don't have to be military in order to appreciate the drama-free atmosphere, structure and most importantly - good times!

Greetings one and all!
I have just registered with bwc.com. My intent is simple. I am looking to work with a group of people that can work as a team in MWO. I'm hoping the concept of role-warfare as applied to this game will make it much more reliant on teamwork and not just 'biggest 'Mech w/the biggest gunz'.
You should know that I am also planning on running a separate Mercenary Company called the Salamanders. The Salamanders are being put together to support the local gaming group I am with that I run Battletech for. I'm hoping can get into the spirit and begin to really work as a team together online and move that sort of thing onto the table top.
If this works against the grain for what you are trying to do then let me know. In addition, I am planning on asking you, the Black Widow Company, to assist in training my Salamanders. Whip up on us until we make every mistake and figure out how not to make them again.
Sidenote: Saw something about what the Black Widows were doing in 3048...someone wasn't very sure about if they were even poking around. I can tell you that they had become the Black Widow Battalion by that point, and remained so after the Clan Invasion. Just without Natasha Kerensky as their illustrious CO.
That's all I have to say for now.
Salamander CO clear. (a.k.a. Trenchknife)
