What other mechs were commonly used by the IS during this time period?

I started out wondering what other Heavy mechs would be available at this point in the timeline, but why not collaborate on a more complete list

Just give this article a quick read would be my suggestion: Link (off site link) or if you like URLs: http://www.sarna.net...Sphere_%27Mechs

All mechs by TRO date and only Inner Sphere.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the exact start year is 3012, right? (Can't ever seem to remember.)

2750 Technical Readout gives this list: Mercury, Thorn, Mongoose, Hermes, Hussar, Sentinel, Wyvern, Crab, Kintaro, Champion, Lancelot, Exterminator, Bombardier, Guillotine, Flashman, Black Knight, Thug, Crockett, Highlader, and King Crab. Also, I believe that most of TRO 3025 would be period as well, giving such mechs as the Stinger, Javelin, Urbanmech, Assassin, Blackjack, Enforcer, Thunderbolt, and Orion. There really is a considerable list to choose from.

Edit: made a plug for Sarna.net, but it seems I was super-ninja'd by about four posts.

Wow. Better than I thought. This opens up a few more possibilities, like the Devestator.

I completely forgot about the orien. Well, I know what heavy to hope for now. It'd be amazing to get behind the stick of the 'littlest assualt Mech'.

Basically anything from the original Battletech box set (which comprises 75% of the Unseen). If its been banned...THAT was the most common one (ingame and out for 15 to 20 years).

Most of those mechs in the 2750 TRO are not now available. The First and Second Succesion Wars saw to that. The best TROs to consult on this time are 3025 and 3050. Even though 3050 is a year down the road, it will give you an idea of the current trends in Mech development and what to expect in the not so far future.
