windows 7 home edition 64 bit

I've got a radeon HD 4600 for a graphics card

AMD athlon II X4 630 processor 2.8 GHz

and 6 GB of RAM

i'm looking to upgrade my pc, since i bought deus ex a while back and even on the lowest settings it was completely unplayable. After I got into the beta I thought I could manage it, but I had to reduce it to the lowest graphics settings before I could even hit anything, but its still a bit slow and and ugly cause of the graphics. Any upgrades that would improve my experience the most for a man on a budget? Any help is useful, and thanks.

do you know your Power Supply Wattage, thats a big thing that we'll need to know.. it will either have a label on the side of it or have a model number somewhere you should be able to search..

and do you have a desired budget for an upgrade?

this is a good thing to probably bookmark, its a Power Supply Calculator so you can see how much power you'll need on your Power Supply if you decide to upgrade..

I will say you probably Need a Video Card..

Power supply planning is great, however i would be more inclined to look up what motherboard you have, so we can find out its specs and what it can actually take GPU/RAM wise as we already know its an AM3 board.

If you don't know it, you can download CPU-Z here http://www.cpuid.com...ares/cpu-z.html
The mainboard tab will tell you.

If I may ask why is the Power Supply a big deal could you explain it more in detail?

A machine that old, may have a small power supply 400W or less, over the life of the machine so far that will have decreased year on year due to age. So it gives a rough idea of what suggestions are made or if a new PSU is needed.

However motherboard is still at this stage more important.

if thread starter had worst case scenario (small PSU) his best bet is buy 7750, will solve his current problem :D

since he state he is on budget :D 7750 at least 2x more powerful than his 4600 which ever type his 4600 :D

but if he had better PSU. 6850 will be better buy ;)

i personally use like Tiberius system athlon 635, and my old 3870 is consume more power than 6850,

all powered by old antec neo he 430w

that legendary seasonic design rock for the money

This should be a help to give you an Idea on what PSU (Power Supply Unit) you would need: http://extreme.outer...culatorlite.jsp
Its is important that you dont cheap out on PSUs, get a trusted brand, check out reviews etc before buying ;)

A Radeon 7770 would be a good choice for a budget graphics card, powerful and power efficient (I have a 6770 previous gen card, and it runs MWO On the max settings and gets a good 50-65 FPS)

I think that the Athlon processor you have uses an AM3 Socket, so you could upgrade you're processor to something such as a AMD Phenom II x4, which uses an AM3 Socket.

That should be able to run MWO Fine :D

I was playing wow for all of wrath and cata on a laptop with 8 gigs. Now i finnaly built a new comp. Im enjoying a way better experience with the radeon 7770 xfx black edition GPU, and a 6 core FX processor. your board is probably screaming for an up grade but thats the last thing i would change. Id say GPU and Processor take precendent. And is your mother board maxed on ram?

No, that is the cord's capacity.
