I found this FD drawing of the Vindicator so I thought I'd post it here so we can all bask in the glory of this mech. I sure hope it shows up in the game looking this good.

I loved my VND-1R in 3025, still do think its a cracking mech for its weight.

Tuff.

I especially like that there is now an obvious, logical point at which the torso can twist.

Always been a fan of the Vindicator. I especially liked it in MW2 Mercs.

I always thought of a Vindi as a good, but veeery ugly mech. Luckily, this image saved my expectations a while ago. ;)

What do you mean? Are you scared of Vindi kicking your "back" in your assault? B)

After I got done with my Javelin 10-F I got a Vindicator 1R in MPBT 3025. It was nice. Before the game ended I went back to the Javelin.

If you are playing Canon only rules for tabletop in the 3025-3050 timeframe, the Vindicator is one of the top if not THE top I.S. 45 ton mech in my opinion.

Im waiting for someone to say "But what about the Phoenix Hawk" so I can laugh....

Never been much of a Vindi fan but I utilize them if necessary, the artwork for this one looks a lot like the Commando redesign.

The Vindicator has some good long range weaponry but suffers from a lack of short range capabiliy made much worse by the fact that it is no faster than some heavy mechs. If it makes its way into the game eventually (as it should since it is the "signature" Capellean mech), it will suffer if the range restrictions are followed. Even the 3050 update leaves the mech slow for its class. It has good armor for the weight, so it is could be used to anchor a line agianst lights and light mediums.

I'd drive it. It looks awesome and has a variety of weapons for multiple ranges.

It doesn't matter who built the machine you're driving, it's who you're aiming the guns at.

1 medium and 1 small laser, can be very useful at the right moments.

I don't expect to see this one at game launch. If PGI has a mind of making good money on mech sales after, I assume faction Iconic mechs will turn up as extra mechs in the store.

It makes sense too, someone who sold his soul to House Steiner might be more than willing to put up extra cash for a Zeus or Banshee while the Capellans might be more interested in one such Vindicator or Cataphract for instance.
