In the most recent Q&A answers there was a quote from david about modules,

"[DAVID] There will be equipment and modules to improve those sorts of things, but not all of them may be available at launch, often because they don’t yet fall into our timeline."

I haven't seen any mention of a progessive timeline mentioned previously. I'm curious if this is reffering to their personal developement timeline or is there going to be an in-game date applicable to scenarios that will be steadily increasing. If the second is true, I fully endorse it and think it is a great way to push new product at a stead pace.

PGI is setting MWO in real time... so one 24 hour day in our real life is one 24 hours timeframe in the Inner Sphere... ISST? Inner Sphere Standard Time? TST? Terra Standard Time?

At the sound of the tone, the time and date in MWO will be 16:30 3/16/3049.

Time progresses on a 1:1 scale.

That bit about "As of this writing" could be a hint that they could change it down the road. Or I could be tired and just reading too much into it.

But yea I think they will adjust the timeline. Just as you don't cover every detail in a story, I mean 5K pages of "Our intrepid hero takes one more step toward his destiny. Our intrepid...." would get old after 2 sentences.

I see this happening as a expansion of sorts. They jump ahead, Clan technology starts to spread etc etc. Maybe even offer a "vanilla" server without the expansions.

I hope they don't "jump ahead".
I plan on years of hearing how the clans are advancing.
I seem to recall from a timeline on Sarna of five waves of Clan advance.

Time will tell.
