Ragnarok????

Even if the Ragnarok was a posibility we'd have to wait around for the Blakist Jihad for it to surface, which is a long way off at this point. Then there's the whole process of somehow converting the Lava Cannon and LosTech Shields to this sort of game which isn't as actiony as MechAssault was.

It's not as simple as that. MWO starts off in the year 3049, or roughly about a year before the Clan's invasion of the InnerSphere. That means that the Ragnarok and by association the Ymir won't be designed and built by the WoB for another decade or so.
Think you can wait that long?

Yup. Think about this, the game came out a decade AGO. And who's still talking about it? ME!
I DO however think that the plasma cannon is a better replacement for the lava gun instead of the rotary ac/5.

You'll be waiting longer because that mech doesn't exist! Also the Plasma Cannon doesn't come until 3069 and I doubt we'll get level 3 tech any time soon.
I'll say to you what I would say to all those "Clanners" out there. Learn to love the IS mechs because that's all you're gonna be getting for awhile.

Let that non-canon wanna-be "mech" slip away from your thoughts. Think about a real mech, like the Hunchback, or the Catapult. Think of all the ways you can use one of those canon mechs to punish your enemies. You will feel cleaner tomorrow for having done so, and your karma will not cause you to be reborn as a furry.

Glad to see I am not the only one. The Nova has rarely seemed to get the respect it deserves. Then again maybe that was just my experience of people laughing at me instead of the mech when I would drop with one. That thing was a beast in netmech though with its low profile and ability to load up on good laser configs as long as you could use jump jets well.

Okay, I'm surprised this thread has gone on for this long, honestly. Look, this 'mech will never be in the series, simply because of two reasons:
1) There is a minimal demand for it.
2) It's not a canon 'mech.
Because of those two reason alone, it is extremely unlikely that it will be included in the game.

I love this. TBH the canon is so self-contradictory and by modern standards nonsensical (why on earth do we need to add targeting computers -- oh yeah, that would've been a big deal in the 80s when BT came out) that I'd be just as fine seeing the Ymir added.

So do you support or oppose? You're giving a general sense that you support, but I just want to be sure.

As far as speeding up the timeline I'm actually curious but why are people assuming this? MWO doesn't need to visit the Dark Ages or anything, if it pans out another MW game can be set in any other timeline out there. People are acting like this will be the last MW game ever.
