Very nice, what you need now is a headset with motion tracking , so when you look to the left monitor you will actually be looking out the left side of the cockpit etc. not sure if it will be possible but it's pretty funky with flight sims

I have a slight suggestion for you, since your going to be wearing headphones by the looks of it. You might consider putting a button outside of the sim. This way once your sealed inside, if any one needs you they can just push a button, and some sort of blinking light tells you that your needed. Other wise good job on the sim.

Edit:

Does any one know how to replace the default windows start up sound, as I can only turn it off. The start up sound for a battlemech will play only if I have a password on my computer/account.

Add an external webcam/intercom on a small screen to communicate to people outside to see if it's worth leaving your cockpit.
