i wonder will there be Solaris 7 maps for 1v1 and team matches.
i loved those in MW4 mercenaries, great way to improve your skills
and earn some fast CBills.

I cannot find the post, however,I am fairly sure the Devs have publicly stated that Solaris VII will not initially be in the game.


However,I know it's something they are looking at for the future.

I wouldn't mind some of the solaris maps in game. 1vs1 matches woud be cool, especially if others are able to watch the match. Even some 2vs2 or 12 person free for all would be fun. I would like to see some solaris action just to liven up the game on occasion.

random mixes and presetted groups would be perfect! Ok, I wouldn't play random ;-) but if someone would...

It would be kind of cool if the mechs that you could use in Solaris were different to the normal battlefield mechs. As in you would be assigned a 'mech or given a choice of 'mechs depending on your Solaris ranking not your overall MWO experience level.

Running match in the background or just for fun would be nice. I definetely agrre. Maybe with a betting system as well, but this could be misused :-(
Also a nice tool for mercanaries to recruit good pilots!

Solaris would be fun to do. It could be the place to have different weekly competitions like urbie for all along with the traditional light/medium/heavy/assault matches. It could be a good instant action area that would help get more pilot abilities when a lance of your friends is unavailable.

Its one of those things I would love to see for the future, but would not bother me if it was not in for release. As cool as it would be, I want them to focus on the primary game modes/maps first and get those at 100%

Beyond the fun of fighting for money and prestige this could be a great place to give a new load out a test run before inflicting it on your Lance

I know for a fact that

A ) There was a massive thread about Solaris VII, that although would be amazing -- will not be included initially but will look forward to implementing it

B ) Reasons for that is although popular, the game will be at first a "minimal viable product" and that no leagues or tournaments would be supported for the first 6 months of the game being released. Which also leads that Solaris VII may be included 6 months after initials release when the game is fully balanced and we have more more toys to play with. Also, E-Sports!!! When/if PGI gives the green light for endorsed leagues matches, Solaris will naturally be a perfect setup for such an event. Think of all the money that PGI will rake in when this game reaches its golden age in player base...

Solaris is the place for the custom built mechs just as Indianapolis is the place for race cars. It would be a place for the people who want to kill mechs and run up high individual scores at the expense of teamplay. That way there is aplace for everyone. The Lore/Canon fiends (of which I am a proud one) will have the borders to fight over in the small unit combats so common to the 31st century. The rock em sock em-customize from the ground up-look at my huge kill score folks can make a fortune and become famous in the arena. Both groups get what they want. Win -win!

Yes, the game should have Solaris-styled maps - on the planet Solaris VII.

Lance vs Lance combat in restricted terrain or narrow corridors would be really interesting... in and around a factory complex or perhaps in an underground cavern environment. That would certainly get the heart pumping.

this question was not ment as a "put it in because we demand it!"
but simply to poll the people here to see if there are others like me who
love a good death match on solaris 7,
i play the TT game alot and some times the Solaris 7 games are a great
streas releas lol.

but if it is on the "may be to do" list i`m totaly willing to wait for it

Great idea I hope they can implement it as soon as main game is stable. Would be a good place for the lone wolves to hang out if not feeling welcomed by the groups.
