Having been in the beta for a relatively long time now, I've read the forums and seen the incredible number of repeat threads bemoaning the fate of the game in it's current state.

While I share some of those concerns, I also think that the amount of melodrama that occurs on these forums is reaching ridiculous stages. I paid $120 on the hope that PGI can pull this off and revive this franchise.

On the off chance they don't, I will get over it.

What I'd really like to see is a forum that I enjoy visiting, which is something i used to do before all the QQing began. That doesn't mean no criticism allowed either, but jeez it would sure be nice to read good constructive posts that aren't buried in an avalanche of childish replies.

The one thing that keeps me going is that (and again I'm stealing someone elses work here) we forums people are a very minor portion of the audience, less than 2% of the player base, so I'm hopeful that many of the new players never see this stuff since at best 20% of players will ever visit the forums (Battlefield Heroes stats and pic)

With some hard work I'm optimistic that they (PGI) will start to focus their efforts on improving the new player experience over the next few patchs. Until then I'm trying like heck to still enjoy reading these forums.
