Perhaps some mega-city maps with biuldings so tall that they dwarf your mech completetly. Or a multi-story cities where there are multiple levels for lighter jump-equipped 'mechs to hop up onto biuldings and flank larger less mobile machines. There could be narrow alleys where larger where wider machines (such as a quad mech) would not be able to fit.
A huge variable terrain area might be even more interesting switching from rolling hills and forested valleys to flat plains and farmlands dotted with small towns. So long as the scale of the battle-zone reflects the scale of the weapons and machines used. Huge open distances so that faster machines can have an advantage in open areas, and that Arrow IV missles can be used to their greatest effect. Sensor range should be an important factor as well as scouting for the enemy. There should be sudden weather changes.
A huge factory map would be neat. Moons/airless planets with little craters to dive in and out of (or in my case tumble into accidentally). Snowy mountains with blizzards, sandy deserts with sandstorms, mesa-lands with huge cliffs for me to fall off of (likely on the first three steps I take). Even a ball of ice where the gravity is so low that my centurion suddenly accelerates to 350kph and tumbles off the edge into space. Oh look at all the SPAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
